Dan's POV

"I'll get something to eat." I said walking towards the kitchen.

"Okay." He waved. It all felt different. Usually he started yelling about what he wanted, but today he preffered scrolling through his phone.

I entered the kitchen getting two plates and some fajita out of the refrigerator. It was cold but I didn't care. I just wanted to sleep.

I bought the plates out and kept them on the table gesturing him to come and join me. He did so, walking towards the table and scanning the table. He sat on the chair next to mine with an unsatisfied look on his face.

"So... Let's start..." He said.

"Hmm... Yeah." I started playing with my food as he started swallowing his food. He looked up at me raising his eyebrows. I just smiled back taking the food in my mouth as he was still looking at me. I swallowed it as it was and then pretended to chew. I couldn't mess it up now. Not after years of hiding my reality. I couldn't let him know that I wasn't human. He would leave me the second he knows so. And I can't afford that. He was everything that I had and needed.

"So... I wanted to tell you something..." He said in low voice. It was hard to swallow since his eyes were fixed on me.

"Yeah. Feel free." I said trying to comfort him. He bought his chair closer to me.

"I... I..." He couldn't bring anything out so I decided to turn towards him so that I could get a better look of his face as it got redder than a tomato. A smile taking place on my lips. "I love you."

My heart skipped like two three beats as his words started wandering in my brain. I could feel my vision get blur. I couldn't help but get red myself.

"I... I... lov..." I couldn't bring out anything as tears drippex down my cheek. I shot my eyes up to meet his as I felt his hands cupping my cheeks. He bought me near to me, stilling looking into my eyes. I closed mine as he bought his lips closer to mine and pressed a gentle kiss on them.

Something was different. It didn't feel like him. He didn't...

He didn't smell like Phil.

I pushed away looking into his confused eyes. "You aren't Phil."

He just gave a smirk. A freaking smirk. Was he nuts?

He got on his feetpushing his chair back. "So, I'm good at acting, ain't I?" He said getting his hands closer to his face as he removed the mask of Phil's face revealing Alfie.

Alfie! What was he doing here!? I could feel my eyes blur again as I met with his eyes.

"Wh-What are you doing here? Where is Phil? What did you do to him? I swear I'll kill you if you lay a hand on him!"

"Chill out!" Alfie laughed bringing his hands up in defence. "He's alive..." I sighed as relief flooded through my veins. "But I can't tell how long he would be."

He laughed, his eyes turning black with dark shade of red eyeballs. His veins around his popping slightly as they turned to a light shade of red. I could feel myself mirroring his situation for my right eye as anger flooded into me.

My hands turning into fists as I pulled into a punch on his face, but he just put his hand in the middle to defend it. Tears ran down my face. I tried another punch, then another and on and on. But he defended everytime.

"It's okay Dan. You haven't fought for years now and I have just gotten stronger." He laughed. But it was true. From when I met Phil, I've never fought or killed. I fell on my knees as I thought about how week I really was.
