Kennedy woke up like any other day. Her mom crept into her room and gently knocked on the door. "Time for school sweety..." Kennedy groaned and sat up while itching her head. "First day of hell." She groggily faked a smiled and stood up shakily. Kennedy walked to her closet and pulled out a black and whte striped button up shirt she had gotten from the mall a week earlier. She slipped it on and walked to her drawer, grabbing a pair of slightly ripped up jeans and slipped them on too. She put on socks and walked to her bathroom. Kennedy turned on her straightening iron and brushed out her medium length hair and began straightening it. When she was done she brushed her teeth and got into the car with her mom. Kennedy checked her phone and texted her best friend, meadow, 'hey on my way'. She stared out the window, waiting for a reply. Her phone buzzed and she looked at the screen that read, 'beat you here! everyone is already crazily loud...:(' Kennedy chuckled to herself and didn't reply since they were only down the road. She got out and walked to the blacktop where they were supposed to wait. She saw meadow and they ran to each other and hugged like they hadn't seen each other in years. Even though she saw her this last weekend. They hugged for what seemed like forever and then released their grasp. "I missed you!" Meadow said. "I just saw you last weekend." Kennedy laughed and they walked along to meet their other friends. " I know." They laughed and greeted their other friends. Kennedy felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to see christian, her neighbor and her crush might I add. "Christian!!" Christian smiled and opened his arms. Kennedy jumped into them and wrapped her legs around his waist. When he put her down, she let go and spoke. "I thought you were in some exotic place with your dad?" She asked him. "We came back early." He told her. Christian scratched the back of his neck and smiled softly. Kennedy smiled and heard a familiar voice. "Kennedy!!" She turned around with a confused expression. Then she saw her boyfriend, Kade, across the black top. She ran to him quickly and jumped into his arms and wrapped her legs around his waist, like she did to Christian. "Baby!!" She said with a smile. He put her down and she stood on her tippy toes and gave him a small kiss on the lips. They smiled and intertwined fingers. Kade and kennedy walked to class together and the bell rang. They went their ways and she walked into first hour. The teacher took roll call and then a slightly shorter kid walked into the class. "I'm so sorry I'm late!" He exclaimed. He had blonde hair with freckles plastered all over his face. His mouth was slightly opened and he had his eyebrows raised. His eyes looked like they weren't all the way opened and he was wearing an orange hoodie with black sweat pants. "Welcome to Dixon Highschool Mr.Sheats, now take your seat." She scolded him. "Yes ma'am." He took a seat right next to kennedy and sat his things on his desk. Kennedy peeked over her shoulder and smiled to herself. 'He's kinda cute...' She thought to herself. The teacher finished taking roll call and class began. Michael tapped on Kennedy's shoulder. "Hm?" She asked, looking over with a smile. He smiled back at her warmly. He had slightly crooked teeth but she thought it was cute. "Can you help me find my next class?" Kennedy nodded and the bell rang. They went to their next class together and started becoming friends. Michael gave Kennedy his number and they walked home. They ended up walking the same way. Kennedy lived three houses down from michael and she was glad about that. Kennedy went home and everything was better than ever.
