It was the middle of the night and I was in my office working on some work for tomorrows big meeting with the manager of vogue.
I picked up my glass of whiskey and took a sip before continuing to sign documents. I was just about to call my butler Thomas to bring me something to eat when I heard small moans of distress coming from my babygirl's room on the baby monitor. She sounded like she was scared and in pain so I quickly ran out of my office and up the stairs to the third floor. I opened the door to see that she was rolling around in her bed; she was tangled in the bed sheets. I ran into the room kneeling down beside her bed and calling her while lightly shaking her awake.
"Emma, wake up baby"
"Sweetheart wake up"
After a few minutes she opened her eyes breathing heavily while looking around the room. I climbed on the bed and sat in front of her and pulled her onto my lap, I gently stroked her cheek hoping it would calm her down, fortunately it did after I put her pacifier in her mouth because she started to breathe a bit slower.

"What happened princess? Wanna tell Daddy?" I asked nothing but concern laced in my voice
"N-no" she cutely mumbled against her pacifier
"Pwease tell Daddy what happened baby...I cant help if I don't know" I said talking in a baby voice which made Emma giggle cutely because I was tickling her sides. She took her paci out and spoke while looking down
"E-Emma h-had a bad drweam daddy"
"what was it about sweetie?"
"it was about my old daddy, h-he used to huwrt me evewynight and Emma huwrt"
My blood was boiling how could anyone hurt this innocent, sweet little girl? She's perfect why would anyone ever want to lay a finger on her? "It's okay honey, you're mine now! My kitten no one is ever gonna hurt you ever!"
"Owkay daddy, I slweepy lay with me pwease?" She cutely mumbled while she put her head in the crook of my neck while her small, dainty hand clutched onto my shirt.
"Sure baby penguin, let me just take off my top though okay?"
she climbed off my lap and once I'd taken my t-shirt off she pushed me down gently onto the bed before climbing back onto my chest where she wrapped her legs around my waist and put her face in my neck.
