Chapter Three: Sweet Surprise

"Jen, it's the last day! I feel like we need to do something more fun."

There was a party at Josh' house tonight, I wanted to go to have some fun! But I also didn't want to go 'cause Brooklyn might be there, since she's his girlfriend. But anyways, I just wanted to party a little!

"Well, I don't know..."

"Oh, come on! I bet there will be some cute boys you may like."

"How can I even think about dating now? I'm emotionally wrecked!"

That... sounded funny. At least it did to me! While we were chatting in front of her house, her parents went out and came to us. They were about to go away for the weekend, now isn't that just splendid? In my mind I was already planing the big party she would have, but I know what she would say to that. She doesn't like to party, well, neither do I actually... I just like it sometimes, when I feel like it's needed. I guess I like the idea of a party more than the actual thing.

Emotionally wrecked? The guy is a pig! No offense to pigs... They never actually talked in person, she found him over the internet. I know, I know... It sounds lame, but she was happy. And that was enough for me. I think he didn't even took their relationship seriously, for all we know he might have never thought that they were together! How ironic...

"You need to forget about him! You deserve better!"

"But no one likes me! He was the only one that..."

"He doesn't deserve someone as special as you are! Come on."

I hugged her as she shed a tear on my shoulder. She smiled and wiped her eyes. 

"Your right, I don't need him!"

"Now you're talking!"

"And we should go to Josh' party! In fact, we will!"

"I like where this is headed!"

"And you will dance with him and then you two will fall in love!"

"...What?!"

"Yes, you heard me. I'm not gonna let you go home empty handed."

I stood there, speechless.

I can't dance! It's just impossible for me! I don't hate it, when I was younger I wanted to be a dancer, since I used to watch 'Shake It Up' and Cece has really influenced me since then. But now that dream has faded.

"Jen, I don't like him."

"Well you can't stay single forever!"

"I'm not gonna be single forever..."

I said that a bit sarcastically. But then I started to wonder. What if I really will stay single forever? Since I know that I don't attract anyone I know... Am I doomed to live a single life?

"Well you better act soon, time is running out, y'know."

"I.."

"Yes, you are 19 now! You are an adult! No more boys, only gents from now on, right?"

"Umm... yeah. Right."

I never had a boy in my entire life. I never actually had a real boyfriend in my entire life! I just kept telling my self to wait for the right guy... And yes! I never kissed anyone, and it isn't funny... It's sad. I had guys flirt with me before, it's just... Well, they are either fat, retarded or nerds... And it's usually when my whole family goes on vacation, so I have no chance of seeing them again.

"So, see ya tonight?"

"Umm... Yeah, tonight."

"Okay, bye!"
