I actually think this is the very first time Josh and I collaborated perfectly! He followed all the instructions from the book, listened to my suggestions now and then... It turned out to be perfect! It's like a class date thing... Wait, no... Not a date! It's just, umm... It's... It's not a date, though.

I raised my hand to call the teacher over, I had too much confidence in our work and I just knew we would get a good grade. Miss Croughwell walked by and glanced around our table until she looked at the little bottle where we made our magic.... Again, that sounded like it shouldn't have... I don't like the guy! He's just not my type and all...

She picked up the bottle, shacked it a little bit and as she took a better look at it she placed the bottle back on the table. After a few seconds she had done that, there was smoke coming out of it. Well, it was really more like a fog? But it was harmless.

"Good job, you two!"

"Really it was nothing..."

I looked at Josh and raised a brow, looking at him slightly sour. Nothing much?! He actually did something right! The boy turned out to be more than a douchebag after all.

"What grades did we get, Miss Croughwell?"

"A's, both of you."

She took a look around the rest of the class and found two more people holding their hands up. An A... I was never a straight A student, far from that actually. I mostly have C's and B's, eventually A's when I actually study even for just a half an hour.

"Wow... My first A."

When i turned to face him, he was already looking at me with a slight smirk on his face that was supposed to be for me. He is just so... weird.

"Really?"

"Yeah... I guess I never could of done it without you."

"Well i'm flattered that you think that..."

He cut my line not letting me finish the sentence. I usually get mad when someone does that when I'm trying to make a point or an example, but... I wasn't that mad now, not at all if  I may say so.

"See ya at lunch, babe."

And there it goes. That word irritated me a bit, but when he said it I felt okay with it... a bit. I wouldn't expect to fall for him that easy, though.

He took his jacket, and walked past me walking towards the door. Soon all the other class mates did the same. I left the room with a smile on my face and keeping it there until I saw Jenny at our table in the cafeteria. She didn't look that happy, though. If I didn't know any better I'd say she was crying. But as soon as she saw me she masked her sadness with a slight grin.

"Whats wrong, Jen?"

"What? Oh... Nothing, everything's fine... I, um... Yeah."

"Jen, you can tell me anything. Remember?"

When we were younger, actually when we started high school, we made a pact to each other for being best friends. We promised to always tell each other the truth, secrets, and when one of us feels down the other one would help her feel better. It may be a lame pact, but it matters to me.

"Well, umm... Matt broke up with me today."

"Today? When today?"

"Second period, he umm... He said that, he doesn't want to hurt me any longer so it's better to leave me now than.."

I patted her back and looked for a handkerchief to wipe off her eyes since her mascara was running.

"He was cheating on me a week after we started dating..."
