I find my sister in the little lunch room inside the masjid talking to her best friend named Kahlaa. She hugs me and goes back to her mother. Me and my sister are just sitting there. She says to me " that isn't fair , no one is paying us any mind. They are walking straight to Jedda. What about us?" I told her that I totally agree.
I didn't eat because I felt as though I had a ball stuck in my throat from so much crying. That if I ate I would either choke or cry again.
My dad has a lot of friends that are Arabs that own ice cream trucks. So I walk outside with my money I received from my mom to get some ice cream. Then he starts talking to me about how good of a person my dad was.
He gives me ice cream for free .. I say " shukran" as he responds with " afwan" which means thank you and your welcome in Arabic.
