Chapter 4: They Have Her

Edward Cullen's POV

I was with my family as we sat in our home in Wyoming. We were just sitting around in the tension filled silence. One thought in our minds.

Annabelle.

The sweet girl with a beautiful yet broken soul. Compassionate and sweet but feisty and rebellious.

You can't say a bad thing about her. It's impossible to hate this girl. She's so amazing. She's a mystery to everyone.

Alice got up and walked into the kitchen. She came back, 5 minutes later. Suddenly, she gasps and freezes. Jasper gets up and holds her.

"What is it, Alice? What did you see?" He asks her.

"Anna... She's gonna do what Bella did when we left her." Alice whimpers.

We were all a bit confused, not wanting what we think to be true.

"She's gonna jump off the cliff Bella jumped from." Alice says, worry and fear in her eyes.

Everyone went paler than we already are. Bella turned to me.

"Edward." She says.

I do what I did with Bella before she jumped. I saw Annabelle looking down at the water from the cliff top.

"Annabelle." I say.

To her, my voice sounds like its echoing.

She closes her eyes and smile. A genuine smile. It was nice to see that smile again.

"Anna, don't do this, please." I say.

I watch my family watching, intensely.

"You left me. You all did. Watch me." She says then drops her backpack.

She looks down.

"Anna... Please. For Bella." I say.

She takes a deep breath then took a step closer.

Bella stiffens. Her eyes filled with so many emotions.

"For me." I say.

She takes one step closer. If I had one, my heart would be pounding.

"For Carlisle." I say.

Carlisle stiffens and starts shaking. Bella grabs his hand and I can see them both struggling to stay calm. Their hands gripping each other's.

"You guys won't stay with me any other way." Anna says.

She sounds so broken.

"Annabelle. Please." I beg.

Bella and Carlisle tense up. As do the rest of my family. Rosalie and Jasper were just as tensed up as Bella and Carlisle.

She jumps. My eyes widen.

She lands right into a huge wave.

She was thrown around for a while until it started to stop.

She came back up to the surface and barely got to gasp before another wave came tumbling back down on her.

She did some flips and then I couldn't really see anything for a while.
