Bree's mouth dropped when the new transfer student stood in front of us. I'd be lying if I say I wasn't flustered with his presence, Anna as well was feeling a little weird. Colton was the only one normal, oblivious to our sudden change of behavior.
"Is this where we get our class schedules?" The new guy flashed us a grin, showing off his perfectly straight teeth.
"Y-yeah, r-right over here." Bree gestured at the long table behind us.
Anna and I gaped at him, he was just so attractive. There's something about him that catches the eye's attention. Maybe it's his warm hazel orbs, beautiful smile or his 'bad boy' aura.
"Thanks, I'm new here. I'm Daniel Kavinsky." He extended his arm to shake our hands. Daniel and Colton did some manly bro fist.
"Where did you come from?" Colton inquired.
"Oh I came from Manchester, my family moved here for some business." Daniel explained.
"But how is your accent American?" Colton asked skeptically.
I smacked Colton's head, "Colton you can't just ask him questions like that." He rubbed the back of his head, smiling at Daniel sheepishly.
"Well let's just say my family and I move a lot." Daniel winked, "Well I'll see you guys around, it was nice meeting you."
He walked off to the direction of his homeroom. We all looked at his retreating figure until it disappeared.
"He sure is mysterious alright." Colton narrowed his eyes at the direction Daniel walked off to.
"No he's not, you're just an idiot." I rolled my eyes at his stupid remark.
"I mean seriously, why doesn't he have a British accent?" Colton retorted and glared at me.
"He just said he moves a lot you moron." I sighed.
"Well let's forget about him and let's head to our homeroom." Bree said.
We all agreed. Colton and I walked together to Chemistry. Of course, we bickered and argued all the way there. When we arrived at the lab, we chose to stay at the table in the middle.
Just as we settled down, Mr. Collins has walked into the classroom.
"Good morning class. For the whole school year you would be grouped in pairs, you can choose your own partner. We would be thoroughly studying the electronic configuration for each element on the table."
I looked at Colton and grinned slyly at him, he mischievously grinned at me as well. We were like sending telepathic messages through eye contact.
And that's how we settled to be partners in Chemistry.

+ + +At lunch, we were all seated at a red table in the school's cafeteria. I gobbled at the pepperoni pizza I bought. Colton tried to steal my yogurt but I nearly stabbed his hand with my fork.
"Geez Barbs sometimes I wonder if you're a pig, or a girl." Colton teased.
"And sometimes I wonder if you're a cow or a jock." I retorted and glared at him. He can't just call me a pig and get away with it. Anna and Bree erupted into fits of laughter.
"Oh yeah, well sometimes I envision you becoming a nun someday because you'll never get a boyfriend." Colton hissed, instead of feeling insulted I laughed. It was funny, but disturbingly possible.
