Mike
"Dracula no!" Sully shouted. "Don't eat that squirrel!"
Mike sat cross-legged on the lush green grass, Captain Bubbles napping peacefully in his lap. He grinned up at Sully, who stood looking off across the lawn. "You can't blame him Sully, it's probably in his DNA."
Sully glanced down at Mike with a flashing smile. "Yeah but the squirrel will give him indigestion."
Mike laughed as Sully ran off, trying to rescue his dog from a furry demise. The Captain raised her head, blinking sleepily and stretching, claws pressing into Mike's sensitive inner thighs. "Ouch!" He yelped, "Watch the claws!"
His irritation melted away as the Captain looked up at him innocently, opening her pink mouth wide in a yawn. "Curse your cuteness." He muttered mildly, scratching gently under her chin. The Captain's wide green eyes fluttered closed in pleasure.
"I'm cute too, why don't you ever do that to me?" Sully whined as he collapsed beside Mike, laying his head on Mike's left leg.
Mike looked down at him with amusement. "When you grow another set of legs and shrink to about a tenth of your size, I'll think about it."
Sully pouted. "That's discrimination."
Mike chuckled, looking up in time to see the Count bounding toward him with way too much speed to slow down before impact. "Sully!" He yelped before the growing huskie collided with him.
The whole group fell into a heap, Captain Bubbles leaping out of the way with an irritated yowl, which Count Dracula responded to by scrambling upwards to give chase.
Mike and Sully lay side by side, still slightly dazed, as the cat and dog sprinted madly across the lawn, weaving and circling in a cyclone of black and white fur.
"Your dog is crazy."
"And your cat is lazy."
The two burst out laughing, rolling around in the warm grass holding their sides.
Sully suddenly smacked Mike's arm. "Tag!" He yelled as he scrambled upwards, stumbling away from a stunned Mike.
"What? No fair! Your legs are longer!" Mike screamed after him, climbing to his feet anyway.
He sprinted after the blue-headed lunatic, falling behind despite his best efforts. Sully soon rounded the sparkling fountain, sticking out his tongue and wiggling his fingers from behind the marble statue.
Mike laughed as he approached, slowing. "You overgrown child!"
Sully walked around the fountain as Mike pursued him, leading him in a circle. "Undersized peach." He taunted, managing to stay just ahead of Mike.
Mike snorted. "What in the world do I have in common with a peach, Sull?"
Sully winked at him across the sparkling blue water. "You're both soft and sweet."
Mike laughed despite himself, then suddenly plunged into the fountain with a splash. He cleared the circular basin in two strides and flung himself at a surprised Sully, wrapping two wet arms around his friend and tackling him to the ground. They rolled through the grass, laughing weakly and finally flopping to a stop.
Mike, resting sideways atop Sully, looked down with a smirk. "Tag, you're it."
Sully simply grinned and closed his eyes, breathing deeply.
Mike looked down at him with concern and rolled off of his chest. "Sully, are you okay?"
Sully's purple eyes fluttered open and he looked at Mike through his long lashes. In response, he reached out and lazily tugged Mike toward him until his head rested against his chest again.
