Sully
"Fly me to the moon..."
Sully set his coffee mug down.
"Let me play among the stars..."
A slow smile spread across Sully's face.
"Let me see what spring is like ooon, Jupiter and Mars."
Sully, a mischievous grin on his face, followed the sound of singing to the bathroom. He tried the knob. Open. Bad idea in his apartment. Slowly he turned the knob and opened the door, slipping into warm yellow light and water soaked, steamy air.
"In other words..."
Sully chuckled to himself, watching the unsuspecting, dim silhouette of his slender friend behind the shower curtain as he pulled himself up onto the sink counter. Sully joined his voice in the next line, letting his words ring out over the sound of pounding water, swinging his legs and perching with childlike glee on the granite.
"Hold my hand!"
There was a stunned pause and Sully waited with bated anticipation for the reaction.
With a rustle of the curtain Mike poked his head out, black and green locks plastered to his hawk-like face. A face that wore an incredulous, heated expression. Sully's favorite.
"Sully!!"
Sully took in the wide, dilated eyes and the flushed cheeks, the soaked hair with suds still bubbling, and the gaping mouth. He took it all in and exploded with laughter, holding his sides as he howled.
"Sully, [strawberry], what are you doing?! I'm in the shower!" Mike yelled, the flush in his cheeks spreading.
Sully giggled, unfazed in the face of Mike's fury. It was kinda cute, actually. Maybe that's why he couldn't help doing things like this. He raised his iPhone and snapped a shot. "Blackmail!" He sang.
Mike practically exploded. "Sully get the [strawberry] out of here you [strawberry]-"
Sully put his hands up, trying to look contrite, and hopped off the counter. "I'm going I'm going! I already have what I need..." He chuckled at the burst of profanity behind him at his words, and carefully closed the door.
Sully whistled, pausing to laugh quietly as he looked at the picture on his phone, and left the bedroom. He noticed there was no more singing coming from the bathroom. After taking another swig of black coffee, he remembered why Mike was on his mind on the first place; he needed to ask a question.
"Mikey!" Sully yelled across the floor.
"What?" Came the irritable reply from the bedroom.
"Always so cheerful." Sully muttered with a smile. He raised his voice. "Is your last name legal?"
"What?!" Mike repeated. After a moment, "No, I'm legally a thief and serial killer."
Sully chuckled. "I knew it! But really, Mike."
"Of course it's legal! I had it changed from Ward as soon as I hit eighteen."
"Well how do you spell it?"
"Why?"
"I need it for a form!"
"I don't trust you Sully."
"What?! Why not?"
"You know the answer to that!"
Sully suppressed a grin and stood, making his way to the bedroom. "Just tell me how to spell it, Mike." He said, striding into the bedroom. "Here I'll show you the form it's only-"
