chapter 1

The girls were arriving, all the girls in the tenth grade were invited but only 20 ever showed up. It was throwen every year, marie always went but rarley injoyed it.Ann on the other hand never went to any social events, let alone when she was new and didnt know anyone. The only reason she went to this was to get her mom to shut up.Ann had been going to evergreen highschool for about a month. She never spoke to anyone,so the news that she was coming was pretty interesting. All the girls sat in the living room while everyone got there, but Ann sat in the corrner of the room with her knees up to her chest. she looked as a few people walked past , a few looks of confusion crossed past peoples faces as they walked past her. on the other side of the room Marie sat on the couch talking to one of her friends ,that really didnt even care.marie was bored and truthfully annoyed at her friend. All she wanted to do was talk about boys.One of the girls yelled time for the hunt, you go out and find everything on the list thats hidden all over town.as the names get called Ann notices shes paired with with Marie and two other girls.Ann and Marie didnt want to be there they would have rather been home in bed.marie was upset because she didnt really know any one in her group. when they got a couple of miles down the road Marie and ann got bored so Marie pulled out her phone and started texing her friends on the other side was ann listing to the sound of everything around her,she had a beat in her head and started to humm to it, she took out a minni notebook and started to right down the lyrics in her head and started to sing to the lyrics. Ann turned around to see that her whole group was staring right at her. she herd a couple of the girls start snickering and whispering then they would look at her . It was pretty obouious that they where making fun of her. by this time Ann had tears in her eyes. marie was telling the girls to stop that they had no right to do that. Ann ran, she ran like no tomarrow like her life was passing her by she couldnt see her tears where blocking her vision,ANN" Marie sceamed and ran after her but she could barley see her any more just a mear figure in the distace. By the time Marie hit a dead end she was at the entrence to a grave yard. " im guessing she ran in there" she thought to her self , even though she didnt feel right Marie walked in anyway its was dark and cold but she could see Anns yellow jacket in the distance and walk towrd her anyway.   

Maries p.o.v

I dont even know why i came to get her I mean I guess I felt bad for her.I mean she has no one, no friends no family its non of my busness either way. I guess i just felt like we were more alike then everyone thought. Before i got to the grave yard i felt like somthing was wrong very wrong i started to shake with fear i didnt feel comfortable at all ,but i needed to get her out of there it wasnt safe and she didnt need to be alone. i slowly walked up to her and sat down next to her. she was still crying so i asked her Ann in the picture <3

if she was ok she told me she would be fine she just didnt like being around people and i knew how she felt i just liked to be on my own. we satrted to talk and the words just flew out its like it just came so easy we barley knew each other and never talked ,i dont know it just felt right like i could tell her anything like i could trust her with anything i had to say. It wasnt that she was so quite. i could just see in her eyes that i could trust her . I told her everything about how i had no real friends, not knoeing my dad. she told me about her mom and dad about the bullies threw our whole conversation we laughed and cried it felt like we were best friends even though we just met it fit. somthing was off ,we both kept lookeing back she must have felt like we were being watched too,we ignored it but the feeling never ment away it sent shivers up my spine and maid my hair stand up

me: somthings not right

Ann: i know i feel like someone is watching us

me:i know we should get back to the house anyways

ann: if it wasnt so creepy id rather stay here

me: (laughing) me too

we got up and started walking we had about 10 steps till we where out of the grave yard we felt like we were being fallowed but every time we looked up there was nothing there fankley it was creeping me out.

these girls were put in one group for a reason its their destiny to be friends. they have more power then anyone knows for people who dont believe in magic and myhth and only in life and death and nothing in beetween your wrong very wrong. they might not believe it yet but they will face pain, love, fear,and friendships they will go threw changes normal teen wouldnt dream of but there far from narmal but they will have eachother.

they where walking towrds the gate when they herd somthing close to them. they ran but they ran oppisite directions but by the time they had figured it out they where to far apart. they screamed eachothers names but couldnt hear anything .
