You wake up just after the sun rises and look at the clock – 6:03 a.m. You look at Michael who's lying on his stomach with his face toward you and his arm draped across your stomach.

How am I going to get up without waking him? I need to close the curtains before the light wakes him. It's only been a little over three hours since we fell asleep. He needs to sleep.

You move your leg closer to the edge of the bed and stick your foot out from under the blankets. There's no movement from Michael so you move your leg over the side and press your heel into the side of the mattress to help you slide out from under his arm. Still no movement from him. You lift his arm a little so you can slide the rest of the way out.

"Trying to get away from me?" he sleepily asks. You stop moving.

"No, I want to close the curtains," you whisper. "The sun is up." He lifts his arm and you get out of bed.

"Don't be gone too long." You close the curtains and get back into bed. He repositions himself so he's on his side again, once more draping his arm over you, and pulls you in close to him. "I still love you." He places a kiss on your neck.

Just as you respond, you hear him begin to lightly snore. "I still love you, too," you whisper. Within a few minutes, you're back in dreamland.

You wake up about six hours later to the feel of your side being softly caressed and take stock of where you are. Michael is lying on his back in the middle of the bed. You realize he's become your pillow and your leg is resting between both of his. You also realize he's not wearing his pajama top you saw him in when he came out of the bedroom last night after his shower. You move and feel his arm around you tighten, noticing for the first time that his hand is resting on your side under your pajama top.

I wasn't dreaming that his hand was under my top. He really is caressing my side. Mmm, so nice.

"Stay where you are a little longer," you hear him say. You look up and see him looking at you, his other hand tucked behind his head. "I like waking up to you wrapped around me." You laugh.

"Apparently I like being wrapped around you in my sleep."

"What about while you're awake?"

"I like it when I'm awake, too. I'm very comfy. You're very comfy as my pillow." He laughs and places a kiss on your forehead. "How long have you been awake?"

"Half an hour maybe."

"How'd you sleep?"

"Last night was the most peaceful, restful, and longest deep sleep I've had in a year. Thank you for that."

"I didn't do anything. You were sound asleep in here when I got out of the shower.  Well at least until I woke you up when I stubbed my toe." He laughs.

"What did you walk into? You scared the dickens out of me for a split second until I heard you yell 'ow' and 'damn it'."

"I walked into the nightstand because I forgot how dark it gets in here when the moon moves to the back of the house and I didn't yell."

"Yes you did. Pulled me right out of a sweet dream as a matter of fact."

"I really yelled out?"

"Loud and clear."

"Sorry."

"It's okay. I got to fall asleep holding you."

"I was actually going to wake you anyway to ask you if I could get in bed with you." He smiles and places another kiss on your forehead. "What kind of sweet dream were you dreaming?"
