Nicki and Meek met up in with their friends Alicia and Swizz for dinner on South Beach. Swizz did a lot of production on Meeks last project so they had been working close throughout the engagement and marriage. The couples sat out on a private dining balcony that overlooked the ocean.
Swizz: "so Meek how's the married life... You doing alright as a husband? Meek: (scratching his head) "I feel like I'm doing good.. You gotta ask Nic tho" Swizz: "you don't think she'll agree with you?" Meek: (looking at her with his puppy dog eyes) "what you think Nic? ...Ima good husband?" Nicki: (grabbing his chin) "you're the per-fect husband baby" (sensually kissing him) Alicia: "woo!" (She fanned herself)
He stared into her eyes as she kissed him, drowning out everything as if they were the only two at the table. Swizz and Alicia sat across from them smiling uncomfortably.
Swizz: "that's beautiful man... I take FULL responsibility for the success of y'all marriage" (he joked) Alicia: (slapping his arm) "you need to focus on the success of your own"
Meek and Nicki broke their kiss and realized the tone of the conversation changed. Meek and Nic both stuffed their mouths with food and listened.
Swizz: "don't bring that up again.." Alicia: "you wanna play Marriage counselor and your shit ain't even all good.." Swizz: "Alicia.." Alicia: "don't "Alicia" me... Put it on the table... Meek let me ask you... Do you think it's okay to hold IMPORTANT business decisions from your wife?"
Meek shot Nicki a nervous look and picked his glass of Duesse off the table, taking a small gulp. He made the decision to not answer.
Alicia: "I know you WOULDN'T do that..." Swizz: "sometimes a Man just has to make decisions FOR HIMSELF!!" (He yelled) Alicia: "oh don't give me that shit.. Every decision I make is for US"
Nicki glanced over at Meek who was wiping the sweat off his forehead and offered him a smile. Underneath the table she interlocked her fingers with his and squeezed tightly.
Swizz: "Nicki... Look... You as a WIFE would trust Meeks judgement right... So he shouldn't have to run everything PAST YOU! (He yelled) Right?" Nicki: "right" (she whispered)
Alicia and Swizz's argument escalated to the point they were screaming at one another. Alicia got up from the table and stormed off for Swizz to follow after. The Williams were left there to deal with the brewing tension. Neither of them wanted to speak up first. Meek wrapped his arm around her and made her look at him.
Nicki: "we can never Rihmeek" Meek: "..Shit crazy" Nicki: "Like... I feel so bad for them" Meek: "they'll be straight .. We just gotta worry bout us ... (He kissed her) .. I gotta make sure we good and I always keep it 100 with you... And vice versa.." Nicki: "and trust.." Meek: "yea trust... Get your stuff" Nicki: "we leaving?" Meek: "yea... (Taking a final bite) they ruined our whole lil shit... "
