Remedy

Chapter 8

Leilani

"What are you doing?" Justin asked as he stood behind me watching as I sat on my haunches, digging through his suitcase.

"I need a jacket to go with what I'm wearing tonight." I pouted, looking up at him

"So you just come in here and raid my stuff?" He chuckled

"Yeah." I smirked as I raked through his things

My fingers brushed over something that was relatively hard so I picked it up, seeing that it was a black and gold box.

I flipped it over and instantly noticed the word 'MAGNUM' in big gold letters. Impressive.

I turned around so I was facing Justin again," You should probably just keep a few of these in your wallet, not a whole box in your suitcase." I smirked, I mean seriously how much sex does this guy have

Justin's eyes widened as his cheeks turned red and he snatched the box of condoms from my hand.

I bit my lip and giggled as I pulled out a green bomber jacket." I'm gonna wear this one." I showed it to Justin

I got off of my knees so that I was standing in front of him. I noticed the hat on his head would go well with my outfit so I leaned up on my tippy toes and took it off his head.

As I came down I left a chaste kiss on his cheek. I places the cap on by head backwards and winked at him. With that, I turned around and sauntered out of his room.

"You look cute, lets go." Maia appeared in the doorway of my room

I looked in the mirror one last time as I fluffed my hair. I shoved my phone and wallet into the pockets of Justin's jacket before following Maia downstairs.

I was last out the house so I made sure the door was locked before skipping down the side walk, towards the trucks.

"Before we go anywhere, who's our DDs (Designated Drivers)?" I asked as I swung the keys around on my finger.

"I'll do it." Rudy and Maejor said at the same time

"Okay cool. Let's go." I threw the car keys at the two boys before hopping in the truck closest to me.

We arrived at the restaurant in no time. I made eye contact with Justin as he held the restaurant door open for me. I looked over his outfit, letting out a quiet squeak of approval.

"You look cute." I pinched his cheek and made little kissy faces at him.

"I had to wear this stupid hat because you're wearing the one I was gonna wear." He pouted

"Awwww. You look good though, and I look better in this hat than you did...so I think it's for the best." I joked as we all followed a waiter to a big table outside of the restaurant.

The table was on a deck that over looked the beach and there were various string lights hanging crisscross above our heads. I come to this restaurant every time I'm on this island and I'm still always amazed at how pretty everything here is.

"Wow this is beautiful." Hailey commented as we all took our seats

I sat in between Anastasia and Justin, everyone was coupled off so I new I was gonna end up mostly talking to Justin.

I quietly sang along to the The Hics song that was playing lowly in the background as I looked through my menu.

"Can you help me find something to eat?" Justin asked

"Of course." I scooted closer to him and leaned in so I could look at his menu.

My hand rested on his thigh as I scanned over the menu,"I think you should get the Seafood Linguini."

"But I don't like cherry tomatoes." Justin bit down on his lip

"I don't either. I got it before and I just told them not to put them in there." I looked up at him and he was already looking down at me.

"Okay." He murmured, staring into my eyes. I let out a nervous giggle and leaned back into my seat.

The waiter came and took our orders, returning with our drinks in no time.

"I can't believe how no one has noticed any of us." Hailey looked around as she sipped on her lemonade.

"A lot of people hear have heard of us probably, just aren't to familiar with our faces. So it's like as long as you stay kind of lowkey no one really pays much attention to you." I shrugged

"Wow." Hailey said softly as she stared out at the ocean that was right next to us.

With that, everyone began talking amongst themselves. However, I just watched the waves. I don't really want to talk to Justin, I'm growing feels for him and I'm trying my hardest not to.

"You look beautiful."

I turned and looked at Justin, a smile forming on my face."Thank you."

I had put on a bit more makeup than usual and straightened my hair so that it was bone straight. I think I'm subconsciously trying to look good for him.

Somehow, me and Justin ended up in a deep conversation about our life goals. He was telling me all about how he wants to get married and have children before he's 30.

"People don't usually understand when I tell them I want to start a family young-"

"But it's because you've had the opportunity to travel and live life to the fullest ever since you were a teenager. So now it's like, there's nothing better to do than to settle down with someone and start a family." I said

Justin stared at me in amazement for a moment before speaking again," You took the words right out of my mouth."

"It's because I feel the same way."

"Thank you." I said as the waiter sat my food down in front of me
