Miranda's pov

Rachel meets me in the parking lot. "Hey girl." I say, trying to not laugh hysterically. Her face is beet red. "Sorry about that. Me and Luke got a little drunk and hit it off." "Well Jason invited us to their show in Jasper. I don't know if I'm gonna go, he's a bit of a perv. I think he just wants to get lucky." I say, shrugging. "Well I'm totally going. Luke's so dreamy and sweet!" She gushes. I roll my eyes as someone calls her name. "See ya in Jasper!" The tall black haired man says to Rachel. Jason was on his phone, leaning against the bus. He didn't even look up. "I think I'm gonna hitch a ride to Jasper with Luke." Rachel says, making my eyes go wide. "Wait... But Rachel, I don't plan on going!" But she's run off by the time I finish saying that. I sigh. I guess I have to go so I can pick her up and we can go. They're talking and I walk over pissed off. "So you're riding with me." He says flirtatiously to her. I am so annoyed. "Come on Rachel. We have to get on the road, Sierra's waiting for us!" I mutter. "I called her. She told us to have a good time." "Oh you girls'll have a good time. Me and Luke onstage we have a ball." "I don't really want to go." I grumble, glaring frustrated at my thoughtless best friend. "Oh why not?" Jason asks, looking upset. "I'm exhausted. I've been on the road for weeks, cheap hotels, and I ain't had no sleep in days." I gasp, half lying. The hotels weren't cheap. "Well you can ride with us too. You can sleep on the way. And trust me the bed on my bus is very comfortable." He says, holding my hand. I don't think so. "Have your boyfriend drop you off on his way through, I'm getting back on the road." I say, pulling my hand free and walking away. Man the nerve of that guy. And to think I thought he was cool. I was about to get in my car when he shouted, "Wait!" I sigh and turn around. "You give me one chance. One night to prove myself and if you still say no I'll never bother you again." I cross my arms and lean against my car. "I kinda liked you until you were acting like a pervert in the bus." "What? I wasn't.... Oh wait you're talking about.... No I didn't mean that! Come on, I've never met someone who loves Alabama as much as me." "Sorry. Not gonna happen." I say, opening my door. "Or you could spend your whole life wondering what could've been. What if I just took a chance, had a leap of faith... What if?" I turn back around. "I know what you're trying to do. And it's not working. I'm not going end of discussion." "Suit yourself but you'll always wonder. What's it like to be with a real cowboy." "Whatever." I mutter, about to get in. He rests a hand on my shoulder. I sigh, staring into my car. He turns me around. "What are you doing?" "Making sure you don't make a big mistake." He says, then kisses me. My first thought was to slap him but he held my hands down. "I promise.... You won't regret it." "You already have." I gripe, angrily. "What? Why?" I kick him in the groin. "Gaah!" He gasps, falling to his knees. "You lay a hand on me again and I'll send you packing back to wherever it is you come from!" I scream. "Georgia. I come..... From Macon..... Georgia." He struggles to say while gritting his teeth in pain. I smile with satisfaction. "Don't fuck with a Georgia girl." "You're from Georgia too?" Luke asks, surprised. I nod. "We both are. I thought you'd be raised right, coming from a place like Georgia." He puts a hand on my car, trying to pull himself up and I hit the alarm button. He falls back down in surprise. "What the?!" He gapes. I laugh. "Oops." I say, sarcastically. Luke is laughing. "Man she whooped you!" "No she cheap shotted me." He mutters, sitting up. "And I'll do it again to any guy coming on to me." "Oh but when a guy does that they just think you're hot." "No they just wanna get lucky. Not me pal!" I snap, glaring at the very embarrassed cowboy. "Damn how'd you know my plan?" He says, looking up at me. "Not everyone is fooled by your hotty bad boy act." "I may be a real bad boy but baby I'm a real good man." "Somehow I highly doubt that." He finally stands up. "Well lemme prove it to ya darlin'."

Jason's pov

I will not give up. I don't give up. That's just the kind of man I am. I push her against her car, this time blocking my manhood, and kiss her again. "Do not make me get the pepper spray out." Oh jeez. "You know that isn't the best way to make an impression." Luke says, laughing his ass off. He wrangled his girl easily. I'll get mine or get maced trying. "Take a chance." I say. "Ya never know what ya might find?" "I know I'll still find a dude who just wants to get laid." "Maybe but you'll never know until you take a chance and if it is that.... Which I will never tell you.... You'll get a night of free sex and be on your way." "God you're dirty minded." "No I'm a matter of factly kinda guy." She glances at her friend. "Oh fine. But I wanna be back here in Mobile tomorrow. We still have a lot of driving to do." "Deal." We shake on it. She locks her car. "And you cheap shot me again, I'll tie you up." I say, pointing at her. She laughs. "Are you afraid of me?" Me and Luke both bust out laughing. "I have never nor will I ever be afraid of no girl. I just hate getting kicked in the nuts. It hurts a lot!" She laughs again. "Come on let's get on the road." Luke says. "Yeah we're burnin' daylight." I say. "Let's get this over with." She mutters, crossing her arms. Oh I'll get her.
