If the chapter has an actual title like "I am so confused" it is an author rant to lessen my emotional drive from triggering events such as social standong and domestic crisis. This is an advised method to lessen dangerous reactions or outburst later on to uninvolved parties. Better if one or two people who you don't know have knowledge of your state of unstableness as they can relate and give a more rational approach.
