You and Daiki have been married for 3 years, with a baby on the way and Daiki getting promoted to even more farther distance for his officer duties, as head chief of his own department.

The clock blared through the occupied room. The sheets on the bed sliding downward as the lady, with a 4 month bump, wakes up and reaches to stop the alarm of her blaring alarm clock. She sat up and looked back, only to see the bed beside he to be empty.

Your POV

I sighed sadly that Daiki hadn't returned home last night. I stood up and walked to the curtain closed windows. I pulled it back and fresh morning sun had greeted my skin. I smiled as I opened the window wide and smelled the morning air. I turned and went to my closet. I can see my portion of the cabinet with my clothing and Daiki's side with quarter casual and his mostly worn suit and uniform. I changed my sleep ware to a casual t-whirt and gartered waist pants. I opened by my bedroom door and a the smell of breakfast punched me in the nose. I know I locked the door when I went to bed last night. I grabbed pepper spray from my bag hanging near the door. I don't simply go down when I smell food. Last thing I want is someone using some fragrance to lure me and mug me or something. Better safe than sorry.

I got near the kitchen door heard faint deep humming and sounds of oil reacting to heat. I calmed down and walked behind the currently cooking male. I encircled my arms around his waist and rested my head onto his back smelling the faint stench of his cologne and sweat. "Welcome Back." I said softly. I heard the scrapped of a spatula and the click on the stove. An arm went to mine in the front. He unwraps mine and turned to hugged me.

"How's the little one" he asks when we parted. He looks and puts his palm to my stomach.

"Steadily growing.....and demanding."I sweat dropped with the numerous cravings it needed. Daiki looks at me with a full smile, showing those pearly whites. "That means he's going to be a healthy and lively male like his own father." He exclaims as he push the hem of the fabric and kisses my tummy. "Healthy, yes. Lively?......Pft.!!!" I tried not to laugh. "What?!" He asks. "Daiki I'd say you weren't that lively when you were younger." I'm already giggling

"Yes I am-" I raised my hand and counted. "You skipped classes. You lazed around on the roof. You slept on the roof. And you skip practice." I counted. "What I was the best. The only one who can beat-" "Winter Cup first year highschool. Seirin Vs. Too." I crossed my arms and stared at him."I hate you" He states with a pout. "Well your not the first one" I retorted. I giggled. "Sa ne~. Let's eat" He and I brought the food to the living room. He automatically turned the channel to a live basketball game. Daiki immediately turned to his fanatic ways while eating. Halfway through the game I saw flinch here and there. I put down my fork and tapped his shoulder. He turned his attention to me and I quickly push the shirt he's wearing to reveal a bandaged waist. The only sound could be heard was the TV's speaker and only action is the glare of a wife to her husband guilt ridden expression. "I know its not the job you want for me but I would bet my life for you." He stated holding both of my hands. "I know the promises I break but remember there's you in everything I do. Its not that I can really forget that I have to come home for you. And know the little me will be coming." He rubbed my stomach lovingly. I couldn't take it in anymore. I cried. I cried waterfalls day and night for him to come home. He saw my tears and immediately hugged my figure. He buried my face to his chest as my sobs slowly fade in. "Just come back safe and sound, Daiki. For us" I sniffed. He tilted my chin upward. He kissed my tears away and finally made contact with my lips.

"I Will."
