Usually, Seraphina would continuously wait for the young man to pass by her house and then she'd offer to tag along with him and give food.
But Salem didn't pass by that day. Seraphina would only think of his dark hair and his blue eyes. She wouldn't say she was obsessed but she was. Infact, she'd even print little pictures of him and paste it in her diary.
Crazy, was she? No. It was purely normal.
Seraphina sighed as she looked at the time and still no luck. With an idea in her mind, she jumped out of the couch, wished her mother goodbye and ran to the other street where she immediately finds her arch enemy talking to her beloved.
Irma's blonde hair flowed reaching her back and her violet eyes wishing for appreciation from Salem. She was talking in a loud manner that it was a good thing for Seraphina. A good thing for her to get Salem to dislike Irma.
"It isn't much to ask but why'd you take this route, Salem?" Irma asked Salem, his dead serious eyes didn't bother to glance one bit at her but he decided to reply.
"I thought this would be an easier pathway but I guess I was wrong"
"Hey! What do you mean wrong? This is absolutely the perfect way to go to school!" Irma argued. She'd been wanting Salem to pass by her house all year long and this was her perfect opportunity.
"Hi Salem!" yelled Seraphina whilst waving her hand, running towards the two.
Irma turned and gave a stern look at Seraphina. "What are you doing here? I thought you go to the other side?"
Seraphina smiled confidently, "Can't a girl change her mind?" She then rushed her way beside Salem who was already walking by himself, leaving the two bickering girls alone. "Hi Salem! I've got some cheese tarts, you want one?"
"No thanks" Salem replied and put his hands inside his pocket. "Do you have anything else to do other than bother me?"
"B-Bother you?" Seraphina gulped but smiled anyways. She'd gotten used to Salem's obnoxious attitude. "I know the tart's pretty sweet but you've got to try one"
Salem didn't utter a word and began to walk a bit faster.
Irma laughed as she reached to Seraphina. "You're not going to get Salem with cheese tarts"
"Oh you shut up, Irma!" She exclaimed and walked away. She never liked Irma's presence. It always bothered her to quarrel over Salem but she needed to win every time it was about him.
It was her part as an arch enemy.
