Xavier's POV

"Born on March 20th 11:49pm, Wesley Aaron Vedette was born a healthy 6 pound and 14 ounce baby boy. A bit small for a werewolf cub but besides that he is basically perfect." Those who were waiting clapped and cheered, bright smiles on their faces. I sighed and looked down at Celeste. Everyone else who was tired went to their rooms to sleep, promising to visit in the morning. Celeste, however, said she couldn't sleep without me.

I gently lifted Celeste off of my chest and set her down in the chair. She whined in protest but I just shrugged it off. I walked over to Zay who gave me a tight smile. There were bags under her eyes. Even though I wanted to tell her to get some sleep I needed to know how my sister was. "How's Lesa?"

"Currently she's fine," she said simply.

"Currently?"

"She was loosing a lot of blood. At first I couldn't get it to stop and I almost lost her." I released a shaky breath and nodded.

"But she is fine right? Nothing is going to happen to her now?" She nodded and put her hand out. I placed my hand in hers and she took me back in her office. I smiled at Mom who was wiping a cool towel across Lesa's forehead. Lesa had requested that Mom be with her and Zay let her without any reluctance. Usually, the mate will be in the delivery room and be with their mate at all times but not only did Lesa reject Christopher, but he is also dead.

"She'll be perfectly fine. Just some long rest and she can go home. However, I recommend staying in the pack house for at least a week before she goes back to her house."

I walked over to Lesa on the opposite side of the bed Mom was at. She looked exhausted but I smiled at her. "Hey little sis." She smiled at me and then her eyes locked onto something behind me. I turned around to see Wesley being wrapped in a little blanket by Zay. She brought him over to Lesa and gently passed him to her.

"Isn't he handsome?" Mom sighed as she reached out a finger to move his blond tuft of hair out of his eyes. His eyes were currently closed and every now and then he let out little cries. "My baby boy." I looked at my sister. I have never seen her so happy in her life.

"I can't wait to start spoiling him. Speaking of which, on the way here I bought a bunch of stuff for his nursery. I'll have someone put them in the nursery." Lesa rolled her eyes but in a playful kind of way. I don't think anything could get her mood to change right now.

"Thank you Mom. And Xavier," I looked to her as she paused. "I don't want you teaching him as he grows up to be a child like you were." I scoffed. "You weren't always this great."

"I happen to think I used to be great," I said matter of factually.

"Can you have someone bring the little blue stuffed lion from the nursery. I want it to be his first stuffed animal before Mom gets a chance to give him a bunch."

"Excuse me Missy, but as the grandmother I have the right to spoil him rotten." I smiled at my family.

"Okay, time for the new mother to get some rest so out you two," Zay said and pushed Mother and I out of the room. I quickly said goodnight to Lesa just as Zay shut her office door.

"I'm off to bed then, goodnight Xavier." I kissed Mom on the cheek and she went to the room her and Harry are staying. I looked around the room. Everyone had seemed to go off to their rooms for the night. I knew tomorrow they would all visit Lesa and Wesley.

I looked over to see Celeste, who now had a blanket over her, thrashing a bit in her sleep. I went over to her and lifted her out of the chair, leaving the blanket behind. She relaxed at my touch and her eyes fluttered open.

"What time is it?" She leaned into my chest until her head was by my neck.

"Almost midnight." She nodded and looked around.

"How's Lesa?" I started to walk up the stairs to our bedroom.

"She's fine. So is the baby. He's a healthy almost 10 pound baby." She pulled back and smiled at me.

"What's his name?" She seemed to be really interested in him, from the way her eyes sparked with absolute curiosity and amazement.

"Wesley Aaron Vedette. You can see him and Lesa tomorrow if you wish." She looked a bit disappointed but nodded anyways.

I opened our bedroom door and set her down on the bed. I kissed her lips and pulled back, making her whine in protest.

"One of my shirts or yours?" I asked her the simple question and she looked up in thought even though I already knew the answer. I pulled one of my long sleeved shirts from the closet and a pair of her pajama pants. I tossed them at her head making her her grunt in frustration.

"You annoy me sometimes, you know?" O f course I knew. I also knew that she loved me just as much as I loved her.

I pulled her to me as I slid into bed. I put my hand in her short hair and kissed her forehead.

"Xavier, how many children do you want?" I was shocked by her question. I should have expected it with Lesa having the baby and everything.

"I don't really know. I used to want two but now I don't know. I guess we'll see when we get there." She traced circles on my chest.

"What if - what if I can't have kids? Or what if they're runts like me? What if other packs don't approve of them?" I quickly tilted her chin up and kissed her. It was slow, passionate, and loving.

"When we do have kids, they will be perfect. If they are runts, then that will be fine. Great packs aren't always due to a strong Alpha and/or Luna. In the end, they will be great." She looked up at me with wide eyes.

"Do you really think that?"

"Of course I do." I kissed her lips again before drifting off to sleep.

I have testing this week. Wish me luck!

The name might be different from what won but that is because I wrote that paragraph a few days ago.

I'm exhausted and off to sleep now.
