((It's 3:30am and I'm updating thanks to a bet with hawkeyelover. i WILL STAY UP UNTIL 5 GADDAMINT- it might be a really short chapter though, because I am very tired and don't want to accidentally type some really nonsense/spoiler stuff.

Also, everyone, quick! Go check out the "The Shower / Hot and Steamy" Chapter and scroll down a bit!

What are you still doing here?! Go check it out!!))

10:15am Mike: honestly, vincent.

10:16am Vincent: What? There's no problem with it, right? It's not like it's going to be in the way or anything. You won't even notice it's there. Well, you will, but...

10:17am Mike: no, no. but i mean... dude.

10:17am Vincent: C'mon, it's just one little favour. If you felt like I felt, you'd know what I mean.

10:18am Mike: uuuuuuuuugh.

10:18am Mike: just this once you creepy freak

10:18 Vincent: Yessssssss! Thanks, you night guard trash.

Vincent grinned and locked his phone which, unlike Scott's, had a passcode. He slung it into his back pocket. It was Friday, which meant the party was tomorrow afternoon. He had most of the plan finished. It wasn't going to be too huge - not like a flash mob or fireworks - but it was going to be perfect.

Or, at least, Vincent hoped so. There was every chance Scott would totally hate him for the rest of his life. He was willing to take that chance. If he got rejected, well, Vincent was a grown man. He'd move on. If Scott accepted him, well... it'd be perfect.

There wasn't really much left to do. He'd bought Christmas gifts for everyone, even Mike, he grudgingly admitted. Technically, he was supposed to arrive with a date, but... he was more keen on leaving with one, if you get what I mean.

Then again, the thought was promising. If he could possibly convince Scott to go with him as his date, things might work out much more smoothly.

He thought about it for a moment, then slung out his phone again.

10:25 Vincent: Yo, Scotty?

There was no reply for a while, so Vincent busied himself with wrapping Scott's present while he waited for a reply. Pausing for a moment, he thought to himself. What on earth had come over him? Two weeks ago, he hated Scott - hated everybody - was a cold-blooded killer. Now he was sitting in his kitchen, wrapping a Christmas present.

You've gone soft, Vincent, he thought to himself, sighing. Well, that could always be fixed, with a little bit of time, patience, a knife, and somebody who got lost in the dark.

10:35 Scott: Yeah? What's up?

Vincent ceased his dark and bloody thoughts to pick up his phone.

10:35 Vincent: You excited for the party?

10:36 Scott: Uhh... kind of. Not really excited about the drinking part. Plus, a few old friends are gonna be there...

Vincent hesitated for a second. Old friends. Old friends that he almost certainly wouldn't have come out to, yet.

10:37 Vincent: Ha. No exes I should know about?

10:37 Scott: T.T

10:37 Vincent: I'm guessing you don't have a date, then.

10:38 Scott: Don't remind me! D: I have to find someone who'll go with me. Maybe I can ask my sister.

10:38 Vincent: How about you be my date?

Scott didn't reply for a while. Vincent put his phone down, giving him some time to think. To be honest, he wouldn't be surprised if Scott rejected. That's what Vincent would do.

10:42 Scott: You know... that could work! If I go with you, I don't have to invite anyone else.

10:42 Vincent: Sounds good to me. Does that make this party our second date?~

10:42 Scott: You know what, I might go with my sister after all...

Vincent chuckled slightly at his phone.

10:43 Vincent: Okay, okay, okay. Strictly as friends-only. No obnoxious flirting. I get it. Will I pick you up at 6pm, your place?

10:43 Scott: I guess so... do you know what the dress code is? I don't know if I should wear formal or casual.

10:44 Vincent: Oh, come on. It's a Christmas party. I, for one, am wearing a rainbow reindeer sweater.

10:44 Scott: Oooof course you are.

10:45 Vincent: Christmas needs to be gayer.

10:46 Scott: There's no rolling my eyes emoji, but if there was, I would send it a million times.

10:46 Vincent: Don't hide your inner reindeer, Scott.

Scott didn't reply to that, which Vincent counted as a win, personally. Putting down his phone again, he smiled slightly to himself.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
