"I-I was told that you've killed many, and destroyed the entire village once." the human said, stunned that his life hadn't ended in a blaze of fire and light. The mutants laughed. "Oh, I can hardly be blamed for that. My spawning did that. Not me," said the shadowform. "Yeah," Shadow added. "If my friend was a killer, there would be no sentient life within 100,000 chunks. He would've exterminated the village thousands of times already."

"Also, my claws and the flames on them were incorporeal. They couldn't have scratched a silverfish," Mormesk  remarked. "Thank you for sparing me," said the man. "Don't mention it," the mutants replied.

The next day, Shadow and Mormesk made one of the greatest errors ever. They trusted the man they spared. They could have killed him, or brainwashed him, or both. They let him free, and he saw where they trained. He told the rest of the bullies where they went, and informed them that the abilities of the mutants were illusions. And that the anomalies wouldn't hurt them. The bullies planned an attack on Mormesk and Shadow's cave.

The next day, when Shadow was practicing an illusionary duplication trick, the attack came. The bullies raided the cave, attacking the mutants. These mutants fought back furiously. Shadow directed massive amounts of light into her opponents' eyes, blinding them. Mormesk manipulated the rocks in the cave into stone golems. Shadow caused the stone golems to become mirror soldiers (which are soldiers that look exactly like whoever they are fighting). Mormesk turned the rock in these mirror soldier golems to magma (and who wants to punched in the face by magma). Shadow began hypnotizing her opponents, stunning them, as Mormesk finished them off with jets of flame. The fight went  like that. Shadow acted, and Mormesk reacted.

The mutants fought well, eventually taking out every one of the attackers. Despite being vaporized, none of the ended up dead. The mutants kept them alive and well. So did the resplendent button. Now, Mormesk and Shadow had total control over the bullies' lives, since they were technically mirror drones that had sentience and their memories. The bullies didn't know this, and they were extremely pissed off that the attack failed.
