'The injustice of it all welled up inside (her)  so that (she) wanted to yell with fury'

Selenes POV:

Emilie, Dante and I filed out the Great Hall with the rest of the students, and naturally we began talking excitedly about both Moody; but most importantly, the tournament.

Dante cut me off for a moment. 'Sorry Sel, but I've really got to go to the library.'

I opened my mouth to complain, which he evidently must have been able to tell because once again he cut me off.

'Don't ask! I have an assignment due tomorrow that I forgot to do over the summer, so it'll be an all night for me!' Dante apologised, before bounding off with Emilie.

It really was a wonder how that boy made it to Ravenclaw.

I walked in the direction of the kitchens to the common room before turning around. Shit. I forgot to grab one of my textbooks off of Dante. Lessons started this week, and I always made a habit of promising to work harder and a few weeks in giving up.

I have a feeling this year will be different. (A/N: the amount of times I have legit done this lol) Desperate to get it off of him from the library, I span on my toes to trace my steps back to find him.

In doing so, I accidentally smacked into someone's chest. I looked up to see a handsome chiselled face, with a pair of soft grey eyes looking down at me. Cedric Diggory.

'I-I'm so sorry Cedric!' I said, feeling the heat rush to my face as I looked up at all his friends that also towered over me. The presence of a few tall, older boys compared to me being small, alone and younger already made me slightly nervous.

They chuckled heartily, which made me more nervous, and thumped Cedric on the back before departing. 'We'll catch up with you later, Hogwarts champ!'

Nerves got the better of me being left alone with Cedric. I always knew who he was but he had no idea who I was. I went to Dante's for about two days over the summer and Cedric, Christopher and their friend Harry were there, so inevitably I spoke to them but it was so brief and I was so quiet and shy, I doubt he remembered.

'It's fine Selene! Have a good summer?' He says coolly. I look up to him with a slight confused expression on my face that he actually remembered my name, and cursed at myself.

I had become a babbling, gushing fangirl of Cedric Diggory. I might as well form a queue right now.

'It was good! Spent most of it with Emilie and bits with Dante when he was in the country, other than that just spent time with family and Cormac! Was gutted to miss the Quidditch cup though!' I sighed, 'what about you?'

'Oh yeah, I remember seeing you briefly at Dante's. It was nice to meet you properly.' He started, and I felt my cheeks tint pink. 'That's lovely.' He added, 'I spent the summer visiting family and went abroad to France for 2 weeks. I was bored stiff for the first week because it was raining non stop. So I ended up doing some Quidditch and spell practice.' He laughed heartily. 'I didn't see you at the Quidditch Cup, did you go?' He asked politely. I doubt he was genuinely interested in making that much conversation with me.

'Well my dad got tickets.. But he only had one you see, and Cormac made me feel bad for going and not spending time with him because in his defence I don't actually like Quidditch, I like to watch it but I couldn't tell you the first thing that happens. Other than that Krum is a good player and it involves a snitch.' I said seriously but Cedric genuinely found it funny and burst out laughing.
