I push Gen back and forth and tell her the party was today. (like she didn't know). I felt like I need to look prefect to be cool. Gen thinks im crazy, what I'm doin. So I had $31.43, I want to buy me a dress and me shoes, and buy Gen some things. So me and Gen was running to the mall to buy me a dress and shoes and thing.
When we was running Gen saw Ms. Nail. I don't know her but Gen does. Gen told me that she nice and in her late 60's and she runs errands for her. Ms. Nail was like a grandma she never had. So we ran a errand for her. Then we went to the mall. I pick my dress and it was ok but not great. Then I buyed Gen a nice shrit and pants. She don't like dresses. Every thing was in place. But then I saw Sanny at the mall. We was kind of hideing here the dresses. Then we heared Sanny crying "how could MARK break up with me on the night of the dance". We walk away laughing. Then we got lunch. We was talking about what gose around comes back around. We saw Sanny again when we was leaving. They was talking about us but we can't her them. So I say to Sanny "shout up no one like you, that's why you going to the party with no-one." Then she said "and you going to the party with no dress". She pull Coda down the new white dress I gotton. I was mad and was running home and Gen catchup. I was crying and the party started in two hour. We saw Ms. Nail again and she ask me why I was crying and I told her. And she was a life saver. She gave me her prom dress to wear to the party. I was so happy. So we was going to the party.
