The next day, Lauren found out the best news she had heard all week. Camila had gotten her script taken over to her school and she showed it to her acting teacher, Simon, who told her that it was written at a much higher level than that of an eight year old child. He was thoroughly impressed with Lauren's writing and offered to get it put on at the performing arts high school.

Camila accepted the offer since she already knew it was all that Lauren wanted with her script. Of course when Camila came by later that day and announced the news, Lauren was smiling so hard that her cheeks hurt.

She hurtled herself into Camila's arms which then lifted her into the air with her arms around the Latina's neck. Camila laughed at her enthusiasm and that warm feeling was back that she got whenever she helped someone out. It was different with Lauren, because in the few months that she had known the eight year old, Camila had witnessed Lauren growing up.

Not only physically, but she was becoming wiser as well. Camila was extremely proud of her little Monster and she was glad to say that she was there to witness that growth.

"Camz, who's gonna play the characters?" Lauren asked curiously as she pulled back just enough to look at Camila's face.

"I'm not sure yet, but it's a school for the talented, so I'm sure my acting teacher will find the perfect people to play your characters." Camila reassured her. The brown eyed girl wouldn't let Lauren be disappointed and she would personally see to it that the production went off without a hitch. Lauren had previously made it clear that she had no interest in being in her own plays, but she wouldn't mind being in other people's productions.

"I want you to play Meredith." Lauren spoke up once more with a hopeful gleam in her emerald green eyes at the thought. The mental image of her favorite person in the world playing the main character of her play was too great of an opportunity to pass up. Well, she didn't have to do much begging, considering that Camila was practically putty in her little hands. Camila would never dare to pass up on a chance to make Lauren smile.

Before Camila left that night, she pulled Mrs. Jauregui to the side and asked if it was alright to take Lauren to school with her the next day. Hollywood Arts had an annual 'Bring your younger sibling to school day' and since Camila had no younger siblings, she figured it wouldn't hurt to take Lauren instead. Not to Camila's surprise, Mrs. Jauregui said yes, though the brunette had the feeling that it was just to get Lauren off of her hands.

Camila still didn't quite know what to make of the eight year old's parents, considering that they had been changing more and more every day. Once she got the okay, Camila nodded, smiled, and wished Clara a nice night before she turned and walked home.

When that next day, Tuesday, rolled around, Lauren was sitting on her front steps when Camila pulled her yellow car up in front of the house. The smaller girl jumped up with a grin and she ran to Camila's car to then get in the back seat.

Happy pop music was playing at a reasonable level, and even though Lauren didn't care for that music genre much, she enjoyed being with Camila, and that was more than enough. When the sleek car pulled into the school's lot, Camila cut the engine and stepped out to open the door for Lauren. The pale girl stepped out and walked up to the front doors with Camila, who used the remote to lock the car doors behind her.

Lauren was taken aback by the bright colors within the school. She had only been in there to get her scrapes looked at when she fell at the football game, but she hadn't actually looked around until then. The lockers were uniquely decorated with images that she could only guess described their owners. Camila walked straight to her locker, which wasn't that far from the front door.

The bell hadn't rang yet so not everyone was there, but she did see quite a few of the other students with their younger siblings. Lauren stayed by Camila's side and looked around to take in the unique school dynamic. While the brown eyed teen was getting the books she needed from her locker, Lauren noticed a couple practicing their dance routine in the middle of the hallway by the staircase that she guessed leaded to other classes. Everyone there had a different style that was far from the boring outfits people at her school wore.
