Noelle's POV
I am so glad to get back to work and school. Being cooped up in bed is not my most favorite thing to do and I'm sure I could be more productive without sickness in the way.
Still, after that little visit from my friends, I seemed to have gotten significantly better. There's just one thing...
I can't get Jonathan's visit off my mind.
Don't get me wrong! It isn't anything weird, alright!? I'm just... Wondering what it was all about, you know? It was so... Different, so to speak.
As I arrive in school, I am greeted with questions about my well-being. Some about how I got sick and most, if not all were responded with "Because there was a flu going around, remember?" And then a small laugh for reassurance.
But there is more to it than that.
I wouldn't exactly say that this particular person is at fault, but...
Jacinto Tavii.
He was the new model assigned to me and, to say the least, he is a HANDFUL.
Needless to say, after our little talk with the boss, well... Let's say it went a little something like this.
"Thank you, sir. We'll do our best." I bow slightly to my boss and close the door behind me as me and Jac leave.
"So" I turn to him and stretch out a hand. "I look forward to working with you." I put on my best smile despite my nervousness. Bagong kilala siya eh.
He looks at my hand as if it is one of the most disgusting things he has ever seen. I don't get this guy and how he can just be so...
"Put that thing away from me." He commands with a venomous tone. He walks a step forward until he is only centimeters apart from my face. " I'll make sure to give you the most hellish time of your life." He gives me a smirk and my hand begins to tingle and I want to outstretch it once more, but for other reasons that may include my palm and his smug cheek.
"Ehem. I ask that you at least-"
"Let's state some ground rules, shall we?" He cuts me off swiftly with a glare so cold that, hmm... it would prevent ice cream from melting? Lost on my thoughts, he clears his throat to grasp my attention.
"Are you even listening? Ugh! This is why girls are sooo..."
"So what?"
"Ah you were listening. Well then, First and foremost. There is no we here. Just "You" and just "Me"." He was referring to what I told our boss. "I won't acknowledge any profit in trying to "get along" and the idea of "teamwork", ha! Hilarious. Who thinks about teamwork in this day and age. All people have the potential to leave someone behind, and naturally, that includes you."
"Now wait just a minute the-" This smug guy with his countless air quotes, psuedo-refined aura and faux innocent face is just something I can't stand! And yet, still he has the audacity to cut me off!?
"Two!" He holds out his right hand, with two fingers up. "We are not to be seen together out of work or if we do not have an official business together."
"That's fine by me." I just don't care anymore. So far this has been one of THE worst first impressions I've had in ages.
"And lastly, don't get to close to me." The way he said it with reluctance and this face devoid of any emotion, but pain... It almost made me feel sorry for him until- "cause you are a filthy crossbreed dog."
