I cover my face with my hands and began to sob. He cannot let me sit here and lie to my child about what's going on. This cannot continue....
But there's one thing getting in the way of all this.....fear.
"Mommy it's okay, you don't have to cry. Doctor Lana is here to help!" Lana chirped making me feel a little better.
I chuckled, "Okay sweetheart,"
"Doctor Lana!"
"I mean Doctor Lana," I smiled, "make my boo-bo go away."
"Ooookay! First, we give it a kiss so it can feel better faster." Lana said kissing the corner of my lips.
"There! Then, we put whatever this stuff is on it." She picked up a jar of Vaseline and pulled the top off.
She stuck her tiny finger inside the container and rubbed it all over my lips.
"All done! " She smiled jumping up and down a little.
"Thank you Doctor Lana." I laughed hugging her. "You're welcome! I would've put a band aid on it but I don't think Doc McStuffins looks good on you."
I smiled, "Child you are something else, come on its time for your nap."

After I put Lana to sleep I walk to my bedroom and got in the bed. I pulled back the covers and got comfortable before pulling the covers over my body.
I stared at the ceiling until I felt my eyes getting heavy.

In the house of a man that loved me, married me, and had a baby with me. He took me out, gave me flowers, and told me that he loved me . Now he abuses me, uses me, threatens me, and breaks me. Instead of taking me out, he locks me in. Instead of giving me flowers, he gives me bruises. Instead of telling me 'I love you' he tells me 'you're nothing but a worthless bitch.'......but yet I still have love for the big , little bruises he gives to me.....
