The dead cheerleader comes over to me putting her hand on my shoulder. I look up at her to notice the glowing has stopped. What was that? The power seemed to disappear right after the fight was over. I look around to see the destruction. The bones and torn clothes on the ground.
"I must take you somewhere safe...but where?" thinking aloud to the dead cheerleader. I look at her once more. She points in the direction of the town. I look and see nobody has come out during that fight. Thinking of my house I'm the only one that is living there and smiles. "My house will be good but I have things to do tomorrow. I'm apart of the town council." She nods understanding what I'm saying.
Picking up my sword I head towards the town slowly leaving behind the bones and torn pieces of clothing behind as the dead cheerleader follows behind me. Keeping my hand on my sword the whole way just in case something else happens. But to be a disappointment nothing did as I reach my door to my house.
I unlock it and steps inside and turn the lights on. Seeing the cheerleader walk in I shut the door behind her and lock it. Putting my sword down on the table I now think of calling the council to tell them the events. Afraid of what they do to the cheerleader I wonder if I should keep that secret or not.
My facial expression must have showed my feelings or thoughts because I felt her hand on my shoulder as to reassure me that everything will be okay and to do will be best. Nodding to her I reach for my phone dialing the number to the house of counsils. It rings twice before I hear the smooth gentle voice of the head councilman, "Hello?"
"Hey it's Scarlet. I have to update you on something very important, Sir." Surprisingly my voice was calm and collected while I talked about what happened.
Once finished I heard nothing then a voice in the background said, "So....it reached us at last. Thank you dear for informing us. We will be coming by tomorrow to check out this Zombie cheerleader once the sun has risen in the sky."
"That will be fine. She is of no harm to me. She proved this to me already by understanding me and praying at my Mother's gravestone." I look in her direction smiling at her.
"What I'm more interested in is this so called 'Power' you two had during the fight. We are heading to the Cemetery to clean up anything that looks like it's out of place so anyone who visits their loved one's headstones they won't be scared."
"Thank you very much." I say with a soft smile.
"Your welcome Scarlet. Sweet dreams. See you and your familiar in the morning." He says softly. I can hear the smile and understanding in his voice.
"Goodnight and same to you, Sir." We both hang up as I sit back in relief and close my eyes.
To be continued.
