"What was that?!" Samson asked and ran out of the house with Scarlet on his heels to see what have happened. In the distance they see smoke, it's coming from the cemetery.

Without a thought I go back inside grab my sword. Heading back outside I nodded to Samson before I run full force towards the smoke hopeing the explosion did not touch my mother's grave. As I arrive I see people surrounding the cemetary afraid of going inside of the gates. Sighing and pushing myself to the front I noticed why. Zombies. More than there were last night.

"Scarlet!" I hear Samson's voice reach me. I turn around and see him with the dead cheerleader as he parts the way as the people surrounding the gates get afraid. Some recognize her and start crying. Some have disgusted faces of hatred.

They both reach me. "You want me to show them she's on our side huh?" I put my hands on my hips.

"Yes because she is your Familiar Spirit. She follows your comands." He nods before he opens the gates.

"Fine. Keep everyone back." My hair starts to whip around me as the light from last night comes back. The glowing of the sword and the dead cheerleaders necklace starts to shine brighter and brighter. I smile and nod to her as she follows behind me as I head into the cemetery.

"Remember if you need help let me know!" Samson calls out to us. I wave my hand as the cheerleader nods in his direction getting gasps as responses to the people watching in amazement.

"Now to have some fun. Shall we?" She nods at my question. She starts to run and I tilt my head in surprise. I laugh and run taking my sword out of the shealth as I cut down the zombies without touching them. I look over to see the cheerleader using small orbs of fire magic burning the zombies almost instantly.

Today is getting better and better. Every new thing turns out to be a surprise with my Familiar Spirit. Maybe this is what it means to protect the ones you love.

Swoosh.... Something just went right by my head and I stop. I hold my sword up in a defense position as I close my eyes focusing on any sudden movement from the side where the object came from.
