Lauren's Point of View

Ugh. Yet another day at school. Can I tell you how many freaking times have I done this? Procrastinating and ended completing my assignments late at night. I rolled out of bed, and when I say roll, I mean that I literally did.

No matter how busy I am or how tired I am, a good breakfast is always the best thing to start the day. But not today.

I stepped out of my front door to find an absolutely ridiculous looking car. With stickers covered from the front to the back, I really don't like the idea of that. But guess what? It's not my car and I'm certainly never getting into that thing.

I continued the journey to school with my earpiece plugged in my ears, loud music blasting through. Obviously being very oblivious of the surroundings, I hadn't noticed that a car is following me as I walk.

"Davis!" Someone said as his car pulled up beside me.

I stopped in my tracks to find that the person following me is none other than Connor.

"Connor! What are you doing here!" I exclaimed.

"Well, I drove past and saw you. Being the nice guy I am, I wanted to give you a ride since you obviously don't have one." He looked front and back inside his car.

"Firstly, I do not need one. Secondly, do not call me by my surname Mr Jacobs." I asked, folding my arms.

"It looks like it's going to rain soon, you sure you don't want a ride?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

The moment he said that, tiny droplets are literally falling from the sky.

"Ugh fine." He came out from his ridiculous looking car and opened the door for me. Normally you will be touched by this sweet gesture, but for me, nope.

"Here you go Lauren. Don't be stubborn." He gestured me in before closing the door.

I got into his car and immediately put my earpiece back on, not wanting to he what he wants to say, or going to say.

My moment of peace is cut off when he decided  to remove the earpiece from my ears. Well he basically yanked it off.

"Hey! Drive and keep your eyes on the road." I argued.

"What? I just want to create a friendly conversation with you." He smiled, keeping his eyes on the road as instructed.

"Well there's no need to." I rolled my eyes.

"Come on, you don't have to be like that." He jokingly laughed.

"What do you want?" I rolled my eyes.

"You." He replied. Wow. Real smooth. Did he forget that he has a girlfriend? I think I said it out loud because he replied me with an awkward answer.

"We broke up." He replied coldly.

A huge wave of uncomfortable silence came between us. I really want to ask why but it seem, it seems like a bad time to do so. Not that I want to know or that I am interested anyway.

"You don't want to know why? I mean, normally everyone sane would be asking about it. You don't." He asked.

"It's not my place to ask about it because it's your relationship and not mine." I shrugged.

"I want to tell you about it. Not now because we are reaching the destination. How about over coffee after school?" He suggested.

Should I? We are just going to talk over coffee right? I know my first impressions of him isn't that positive but there's no harm in going right? We can be friends, or at least try to.
