"She's way too nice to want to kill you." Cam says as we walk out of the alley.
"Yeah, maybe to Marcus and Derek Cans, not Blake Archer. If she knew I was the prince, I'd have an arrow in my head right now. You heard how she talked to that Loyal."
"Yeah, that's you. Not me, I don't think Skylar would kill me." He says, waiting for traffic to stop for us to pass the street in front of her apartment.
"Cam, I don't care if you like her," Which was a lie. "...just don't plan on starting something. I think my nightmares will come true if she ends up finding out who I am."
"You're just overreacting," Cam says, as we both step onto the road.
"Probably, anyway, do you think Henry will be back by now? I wonder where he went."
"I have no clue. I don't even know what time it is. Once we pass the park we'll find out, there's a clock there."
"I hope he will be. He has my notebook, and I'm really forgetful-"
"Trust me, I know." Cam interrupts.
"Shut up and let me finish!"
"Why, will you forget what you were going to say?"
"Shut up," I pause, thinking of what I was going to say next. "I was going to say I need to write down everything Skylar said, so we can have it."
"Wow, you didn't forget!" Cam says with the stupidest grin on his face.
We pass by the park, find out it's 2:00, and continue walking over to the train tracks. We walk through the market we are going to meet Skylar at. We stop to get some food, and end up getting this weird type of meat from the meat tent. After we ate, I found out that we had eaten cow lungs. It may sound disgusting, but for some reason, I really like it. It was actually better than the hamburger that the cooks back home put in our spaghetti and burgers. I guess the people here use everything they get, because they don't get a lot.
After we finish our food, we pass through the two subdivisions we went through getting to the park earlier. Then we go past the train station, up the steep street and finally make it back to the house. We see Henry's car in the driveway, and walk up the steps to go inside. Henry meets us at the front door. His arms are crossed, and he doesn't look happy.
"Where were you?" He asks, with his sunglasses making it impossible to see which one of us he was looking at. Neither of us knew who should answer him at first so I just decide to answer him.
"We went to the market and the park,"
"Why didn't you leave something here to tell me?"
"There was nothing here to write on to leave a note, and I left my phone back home, but it wouldn't matter if I had it anyway, you didn't give me your number." I responded.
"You could have written on the cardboard that was on your window."
"We don't have anything to write with," Cam adds.
"Okay, you have a point there. I'll get you guys a pen," He says, turning back into the house.
"I have one in my suitcase, I can just use mine," I add, pointing over my shoulder towards Henry's car.
"Oh, okay. You can go get them, the trunk needs the keys to get into, they're on the driver's seat. Remember I have rifles in there, so try to cover them." He says, not turning to look back at us.
We go and get our suitcases, walk back into the house, and then into our room. I put my suitcase on my bed and got out my notebook. I sit beside my bed beside the suitcase, notebook in one hand, and pen in the other.
