I used to dream of galaxies
A timeless void of stars,
With memories of happiness
And tender healing scars.I know I'm seeing ancient things,
The stars of light years past;
Many lights will come and go,
But these for ages last.I wonder if the paths I took
Had changed the way they shine.
Had it been my own two hands
That helped the stars align?In the galaxy of time
Each star is like a year,
The past is easy to be seen,
The rest is never clear.Will I be the one at fault
When older stars explode?
Are the planets in my wake
The lands that I erode?Future days remain unknown,
But I have no regret.
There is much to see and do,
Life isn't over yet.Never will I want to change
This precious life of ours;
Never in a million years,
Or in a million stars.
