Prologue

Rome's P.O.V

I stared at the stars, like it was the greatest creation that has ever existed in this world, in fact it is the greatest thing. I wondered if i could touch one of those stars and grasp them in my palms, while i smile at how wonderful they seemed to be, i was so astonished at how they blinked together in perfect harmony, sadly these are just a part of my imagination

I wanted to gather all the thoughts that were swimming in my head, first to my step mother Ana. She has got to get out of my life, she ruins everything, she hates everything that i do, i cannot bare a life with her!

"Boo" a familiar voice scaring me, snapping me back to reality.

I chuckled to see blondie lying down beside me, admiring the stars.

"Luke" I breathed, glad that he was here, knowing that he can help me.

"Whats the problem rome?" He looked at me, like he was worried sick. Im so glad to have him, he is like the sun to my darkness, my oxygen to my lungs, my peace to my battlefield. Its amazing how he turns my frown into a wide smile.

"Its just." I let out a little groan. "I hate my life!" I cried as i sat down, brushing all of the grass on my skinny jeans.

"Shhh dont cry, im right here" luke engulfed me in a tight hug, as he caressed my hair, making me feel relieved and calm.

"She wanted me to stop school, and to start working on that shop, where they,they-" The tears continually falling from my eyes, i cant tell luke, what they do in that shop, he might think of me in a way, that i might be like them. No i dont want that to happen.

"What is it?" He pulled out of the hug, and cupped my face, wiping the tears that were falling.

He stared right into my brown irises

"Dont mind, I-I have to go luke" i told him, as i got up, grabbed my bag.

"Okay. I understand" he stood up as well, he gave me a little smirk and hugged me one last time.

"Thank you." I nodded my head and turned my back

"Wait! Rome." He held my wrist tight, his hand were extremely cold which was unusual.

"Yeah?" I looked behind. Gathering my eyebrows together in unison.

"I, wanted to..ask you something" he stared right into my eyes, i looked down, avoiding eye contact

"Well, what is it?" I asked, my heart was beating really fast, I was nervous indeed.

"That shop, you were-"

"No! That was nothing. Luke, i gotta go thank you for your company, i really appreciated it" I ran of, hoping I wasnt to obvious. Who am i kidding? Of course I'm obvious, great job rome, now he is going to be all curious. Really great job, but ugh who cares i need to get back "home"

Which they call, but its more like hell.
