Being 18 with cancer changed my life. I had to get an ovary taken out. Getting my ovary taken out stopped my period and is taking me through pre-menopause. If you don't know what menopause is it's what a women goes through when she stops getting a period and her hormones change.
I am still a senior in high school having to redo half a year of high school. That hurt me seeing all of my friends and my cousins leave me. I had to realize that everything happens for a reason and I got another chance to do things differently.! Encephalitis had an impact on my life also because I have to get treatments for my brain.
I have to learn a lot of things over because of the memory loss but the things I need to know I know but somethings I may get confused but I don't get frustrated. I'm patient I ask for help when needed I've always been that way. My notes have definitely been good to me because when I go to the doctors every couple of weeks or once a month I remember to tell my doctor things I can't remember. When you can't remember things your notes will be your Bestfriend!
I was depressed when COVID-19 started to spread because I was in the hospital and they stopped letting visitors come at a certain time because my mama had work and she used to spend the night with me. I didn't like being by myself. I had nice nurses but they weren't always there they had other patients. I would cry when I got lonely .
