"Hey babe im gonna go to the store real quick wanna come with me?" Ace asked me. "Nah I wanna finish the summer project so I can have the rest of my summer doing nothing." He whimpered. "Okay I'll be back soon don't miss me to much." He kissed my cheek and left. I shook my head and continued working. ----------------------------------------------------
Two hours had passed and he still wasn't home. I was getting worried. My phone rang it was Aces number. "Hey are you alright where have you been?" "Uh ma'am your uh boyfriend im assuming got into an accident its pretty bad come to the hospital right away. "Okay I will thank you." "Your welcome ma'am." My whole world broke. I rushed out the door. "Lilac can I borrow your car." I said a little panic in my voice. She had Willow in her arms "Yeah sure." I grabbed the keys and sped off to the hospital. Once I got to the hospital there was a lady in front of me. "He's my boyfriend why can't I see him?" "Ma'am we can't allow that your not his wife, fiancé, or any family memember we can't allow it." The lady stormed off. "How can I help you?" The desk lady said. "Im here to see my boy-uh-fiancé his name is Ace Redhawk." "He isn't cleared for visitors yet the doctor will come to tell you a condition." "Okay thanks." I went outside for a minute I looked up at the stars. "Please, please, please let him be okay. " I went back inside and waited for the doctor to come and tell me the condition. The wait was long and exhausting multiple times I fell asleep. "Are you Ember?" A doctor asked. "Yes." "I'm sorry to say this but Ace is......." He paused for a long moment and looked down oh no please dear god no please let him be okay. "He's.................Okay he'll be ready for visitors in an hour." I exhaled with relief . "Thank you."
