The Announcement

Hindi pa natapos don, nagsalita din kasi si Mr. Buenavista introducing his son.

"So you all know the debudants name, my future daughter-in-law." Sabi niya with matching akbay pa kay dad, taas nung wine glass na hawak niya at kindat.

"Please welcome my son, Cleo Lyde Buenavista." Sabi niya sabay nagpalakpakan 'yung mga tao. Siya? Siya 'yung lalaki sa bintana kanina?

Umaygad pogi siya. Pero, hindi ko nga siya kilala eh. Kalokohan talaga ni dad oh!

As the guy was being introduced I was pacing while he on the other hand just stood there like nothing's happening. Anong trip nung lalaking yon? 'Di man lang ba sya mag rereact?

Wala naman akong magagawa kay dad. 'Di bale magbabago pa trip niyang matandang yan. Pero, fianceé ko pa din 'yung lalake, anong gagawin ko?

Cleo's POV

When I woke up, I showered and took some clothes from my closet grabbing a black jeans and a thin black v-neck shirt which fitted my body perfectly.

I grabbed my converse and went downstairs to have my breakfast, but then I passed my father's bedroom.

"Yes, alright Mr. Guevarra. Uh-huh. So, later tonight? Ok. I'll have to get going, thank you." He said. I heard him talked to that guy on the other line a dozen of times, well I don't care, 'cause I'm late for school.

"Dad! I'll be going." I said as I knock on his door.

"Sure Lyde. Uh, Be sure you'll be home before six? We have some important business to attend to." He reminded me AGAIN, but I didn't answer instead I ran out the house. I got my motor bike and started racing to school.

When I got there, may pinagkakaguluhan 'yung mga babae. Guy in a motorcyle? Pogi ba? He took off his helmet oo, may itsura pero mas pogi akong 'di hamak. Sorry guys I'm not conceited, I'm just stating a fact.

Schoolmates ko na mismo ang nagsabi, pogi daw ako.

Then, I saw the girl with him, but she isn't exactly my type, masyadong maikli magskirt parang bimbo? Argh. I hate girls like that.

Then she kissed him, sa cheeks nga lang. Wait bat ko ba sila pinapanood, teka ayan na 'yung mga b*tches, I need to get to my class fast before ako makuyog.

When I got there, the girl from outside was sitting near the window, that was my usual seat but ayoko ng gulo. Babae pa siya, I saw her lowering her skirt, tas ngayon hihila hila siya? Embicile.

Nung nagpapakilala na, I found out na Rain pala 'yung name niya. Ang cute niya pala sa malapitan dumaan kasi siya sa harap ko.

Tapos nung ako na 'yung magpapakilala, "Hi I'm Cleo Lyde Buenavista, uh 18, I'm the basketball captain, running for valedictorian uhm what else? Uhmm 'yun lang." I said.

The girls were yelling and cheering up for me, what the hell is their problem? I looked at Rain once again, she was staring at the window, smiling. That made me smile too. What the f*ck is really happening to me?

As soon as the class ended, I received a message from my father.

"Clyde meet me at Montealgre's St. We have to go somewhere. Be there ok?" He said. So, pumunta nga ako. Sabi niya follow ko daw 'yung car niya. I followed, kaso napadaanan ako ng 7-eleven, so I stopped para bumili ng maiinom.

Tapos I lost the car I was supposed to be following, and as I was searching the place, si Rain ba 'yon? Bakit siya naglalakad?

Iniwan ko sa parking space 'yung bike ko, tapos sinundan ko siya, pero siyempre pasimple lang. Baka mag assume pa e.

Then, we reached a house, a little bigger than ours, she entered and closed the gate, naghanap ako ng pwedeng akyating bakod, then, I found one.

I saw a ladder so I climbed a window, it has no curtains, then I saw her there, kaliligo lang niya, with water dripping from her hair, I knocked on the window before pa siya maghubad sa harap ko.

"Pakibukas" Sabi ko, shit madulas dito baka mahulog ako. I saw her hesitating at first pero binuksan niya naman.

"Rain right?" Sabi ko siyempre alam ko namang Rain 'yung pangalan niya eh. Naninigurado lang. Tumango naman siya as an answer.

"Come with me, let's run away together." Biglaang sabi ko. WTF is wrong with me? She looked so shocked, she was literally looking at me like I grew another head.

Then, may kumatok, "Sweetie, magsta-start na Be ready in 5." Sabi nung lalaki, pero bago pa siya nakalingon.

I got down from the ladder and again climbed the fence, tinext ko si dad, he sent me the address of the place, I was shocked na dito 'yon. Sa bahay ni Rain? Anong pakulo na naman ba 'to?

I rang the bell twice, and a lady in a maid uniform opened the door for me, I muttered 'thanks' and went inside.

Kung alam ko lang edi sana hindi ko na pinahirapan 'yung sarili kong umakyat akyat ng bakod.

Then, dad saw me. "What took you so long?" Tanong niya.

"Umm. I got lost?" I lied or not? He then chuckled and he introduced me to a man named Mr. Guevarra, he looked young but, sh*t is he? Tatay siya ni Rain? Ano 'to don't tell me-

"Lyde, meet Mr. Guevarra, he is your future father-in-law." Sabi ni dad. No need to react nangyari na 'to a couple of times before, hindi din naman natutuloy.

"Oh, please call me dad, son." Mr. Guevarra said.

"Pero sino pong-" Hindi ako pinatapos nung MC nag announce na ka 'gad, then I saw her. Climbing downstairs slowly, she was wearing a black dress, which suited her perfectly.

"Our debutant Rain Lee Guevarra" Pakilala nung MC, si Rain? Siya 'yung fianceé ko?
