Jess, she thought as she walked to school. Her best friend, well before she moved away. Slowly she got to her new school's doors. Big doors, also very unwelcoming. The moment she walks in her heart pounds against her chest but she keeps her appearance calm and unaffected.

'It's just another school Tammy' those were her mother's last words before dropping her off at a new hell.

'Damn it. Stop staring I'm not a walking dead.' She thought. 'These people. I hate them all'.

Inching closer to the office she smells sweat and shampoo.

'Boys' Tammy told herself.

Since grade 4 she always hated boys. So annoying and disgusting. But right after that thought a boy approached her.

"Hey are you new, little girl. Hm?" Says a tall and scrawny older boy.

"You hair is such a pretty colour, little girl." His friend chimed in laughing to himself.

'So annoying.' She thought but nothing came out of her mouth.

The guys behind her snicker and stare. They're loud and careless enough for her to catch a few words of what they're saying.

"...single.....new.......vulnerable...."

Angry, Tammy rushes to the office.

'So this is high school...' She puffed.

Tammy never said anything out loud unless she needs to, but she would never talk to a boy. Not worth my time.
She slams the door behind her and turns around to find many startled faces.

"Uhm...er....sorry about that..." Tammy says so softly it came out as a whisper.

"That's alright." A kind lady says. "Those boys must've been giving you trouble. Don't worry it will die down. You must be Tamara Vince."

Tammy shakes her head gently, "Just Tammy is fine."

"Alright then, here is your information." The lady hands her a piece of paper.

"Thank you," Tammy says, taking the paper and heading out the door.

'Where to where to. Class 10b. Teacher Mr. V. ' Tammy looked around anxiously, someone to help her.

With her head in the clouds and nose in the paper, she hardly realizes the guys staring at her and laughing smogs themselves.

'Keep walking don't look at anyone. Just keep reading.' She ordered herself.

Walk. Skip. Gallop. Run! And Tammy ran faster and faster until she hit, something? Or someone? But she got up and kept running.

'Hurry.' Is all Tammy could think about.

A left. A right. And she found herself in the girls' bathroom. Huffing and puffing she sat down in the corner and cried to her heart's content.
