It was really quiet in the bathroom. Nothing but the sound of her sobbing and the humming of the air conditioner. Step. Step. Step. The sound of heels clacking against the tile floor.
'Oh shoot. People are coming! There going to see me crying, that's a terrible first impression. Uhm, what do I do?!'
Quickly Tammy locked herself in the bathroom stall and tried to clean herself up.
"I heard there was a new girl coming today. I wonder who she is." Says a high pitched voice.
"Naw, I heard some rumours that she ran into Tim Grant and she didn't even apologize, she just ran away. Jeez what a coward." This girl's voice was sharp and bossy.
'Oh no' Tammy scolded herself for being so careless. 'First day and I'm already being gossiped about.'
Tammy waited until they left then unlocked herself from the bathroom stall. She wobbled towards the mirror and saw her reddened face, a clear sign that she was crying.
'Whatever' she said trying to force herself not to care.
She marched out of the bathroom with confidence up until she saw a few boys walking up to her.
"Hi." The tall boy said confidently.
He wore a red jacket indicating he was a school jock. His bangs covered his face but leaving his dark green eyes peeking through.
'So this is the stereo typical jock boy, he must be really cruel towards girls. Annoying brat.' Tammy convinced herself that under that pretty face there hid a demon player. 'Jeez.'
"Hey." Tammy said almost forcing the words to come out.
"Uhm sorry, I bumped into you earlier. Are you alright?"
Tammy realized who this boy was. He was Tim Grant, and she hit him without saying anything. It also came to her mind that her eyes were still red.
'Talk about bad luck.'
" Uh no I should be the one apologizing. Sorry. " She muttered.
"It's alright, I thought you were hurt so I was worried. Are you new here?" He asked.
Tammy nodded her head. 'This is weird, I need to get to class. I'm already late.' And without saying anything she ran off in a sprint.
