Chapter 17

I woke up. Everything was blurry. I saw a face. I tried to move my arm but there was a sharp pain. I ignored it and touched the face. The face looked at me. It became more focused. The face had a mask on. It was a doctor. "Your awake." He said. I nodded. My throat was dry and scratchy. He stuck his head outside the door. "Ok...you can come in now." He said out side the door. Four people walked into the door. It took me a second to recognize the faces. Then I realized who it was. Ross,Adam,Barney, and Jin. Ross ran over to me and sat down on the chair next to me. "Jessica..." He said and started to cry. I touched his face. "Ross..." I looked around the room. He kissed my ring. "Wheres...Alesa?" I asked Adam. Adam looked down. "She's...in...jail..." He said. His eyes started to water. "Why?" I asked. "Oh...you don't remember?" Ross said. I shook my head. "She almost killed you...but luckily a police car drove by the restaurant. He saw what was going on and arrested her." Ross said. A vision popped in my head. Alesa was picking me up by my shirt collar and threw me. "Did...Alesa...throw me?" I asked. Ross shook his head yes. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'LUCKILY'?!?" Adam yelled. "Sorry...I didn't mean it like that..." Ross said. "Sir...you can leave if your gonna yell." The doctor said. Adam looked at him. The doctor opened the door and point out side. Adam stomped out. Ross touched my face. I jumped. "Ow..." I said. "Sorry..." He said. "It's fine...I mean...I always accidentally slap you in the the face..." I said smiling. When I smiled my face felt weird. I took out my phone and turned on the camera to look at my face. When I saw my face I dropped my phone. There was a big white bandage around my forehead,chin,and cheeks. Pretty much my whole face. Ross picked up my phone and turned it off. Ross kissed my lips. When he lifted his head he had a little bit of blood on his lips. I giggled. It looked like lip stick. "What's so funny?" He asked. I whipped I his lips and showed him. He giggled. Suddenly an alarm went of on the doctors phone. "Ok...friends leave...family stay." The doctor said. Barney and Jin left. Ross stayed. "Uh...sir?" The doctor said. "We're engaged." Ross said. "Oh...sorry..." He said and walked out. Ross looked at me. "You have to stay in here for only two more days. Then you can come back to the offices." He said. I looked at him. "How long have I been in here?" I asked. Ross looked down. "Three days..." He said. "Really?" I asked. He nodded yes. "Wow..." I said. The doctor came in. "It's time for her to rest sir. You can either stay or you can go home." He said. "I'll stay." Ross said quickly. The doctor pulled back a curtain. There was a extra bed. He didn't leave his chair. "Sir...you can sleep here." The doctor said. "No thank you. I'll sleep here." Ross said. The doctor closed the curtain then he left. The room started to get darker. Then before I knew it I was asleep.
