My best friend's, Best friend

Chapter 2

as we walked out of the big and old building, all of us could feel the tension. "let's go kids, get in the van" mom said to all 3 of us kids, in an angry/annoyed tone. "oh so now that we're officially divorced i can't ride back to the house with you?" screamed my dad. we already knew a fight was brewing so i put my headphones in, drowning out the screams.

before i knew it we were back to my house. i know you're probably wondering... 'what happened?' 'who's living with you?' 'how did it go?' well, it didn't go as planned.

the judge made an order that my brother Jacob and I were to move with my mother and my littlest sister Kayla would be with my dad. we were all surprised with this ruling but knew there was nothing we could do about it.

me: i'm moving... with Jacob and my mom. and Kayla is stuck with my dad.😭
maddie💜💅🏼: awe babe! come live with me! lol
me: oh u don't even understand how much i want to right now...
maddie💜💅🏼: it'll be ok, r u guys staying local? u can't leave me 😫
me: not sure.. come over later please ❤️
maddie💜💅🏼: deff, be over around 6.

great. it's only two o'clock. what am i going to do for 4 more hours? i decided to go out and sit on the swing in the back yard. as i was walking to my back door i stopped in my tracks because i heard something coming from the kitchen that had me shocked.

"Yes I'm taking the two and we're moving... far, far away from this town. and i want you to please stay here, you and Kayla. she's too young to leave, she has all her little friends here. i found a better job......" my mom said to my father, and i didn't need to hear anymore. i instantly went out back and started crying, silently and to myself. how was i gonna tell Jacob........?
