Swirls of Colour

I sat at the window, overlooking the field. The swirls of green, yellows, oranges and browns calmed me, my mind in a trance. The trees that lined the edge of the field, swayed backwards and forwards in the breeze. It looked so calming. I was desperate to go outside, stand in the tall grass, hear the chirping of the birds, feel the cool breeze, taste the start of spring.
I turned away, to face the door of my bedroom. I walk towards the door, grabbing my black sports jacket in the process. The door opens, and I move myself down the stairs, sitting at the bottom to put on my blue converses. My mam seemed surprised to see me here.
"Ash! Didn't think you would leave your room again!"
"The field looks calming and I'm sure I won't see anyone," I reply, quietly. I was very shy and hated human interaction. I would get all panicky and have a mental breakdown. I shuddered at the memory.
The converses slid on my feet, despite not being worn for a while. I stood up, and walked to the back door in the kitchen. Breathing in slowly, I told myself "There's no way your going to see anyone, it's the field at the back of your house." The lock clicks and the doors open.
