Tobi needed to clear his head. He hadn't felt well recently and was desperate for some fresh air instead of languishing for another day in the apartment. He went to the woods nearby, a secluded and peaceful area, filled with dog walkers, bike riders and sports enthusiasts. He walked through the beautifully tall and sturdy oak trees, past the fast running stream and sat down on a bench overlooking the water. His mind drifted, various thoughts filling his head, regarding his work, his social life and his future plans, a lot take in at one time. Tobi was one very much with the outside, a free spirit and someone who appreciated nature and its surroundings. He sat on that bench for a good hour, just taking everything in, he was calm, serene and had no intention of leaving for a while. Suddenly he heard a familiar voice behind him and one he didn't expect:
"Hey Tobi! Surprised to see you here!" said the happy bearded man in an upbeat tone.
"Hey Josh! This is a coincidence!" replied Tobi, he was incredibly surprised Josh was here, and he was on his own too, something which surprised Tobi, nevertheless Tobi was happy to have some company.
"What are you doing here Josh?" asked Tobi curiously.
"I'm taking a break Tobz. I'm just a bit stressed with the workload at the moment and I need some rest, so I come here, a place where all that stress can just melt away. It's funny, I thought I was the only one who knew about this place." answered Josh, pleased to be in the company of one of his best friends.
"It's great to see you Josh, it's actually been a while, guess we've just been to busy" sighed Tobi, unhappy that his schedule had prevented him from seeing his friend as much as it had done.
"Hey Tobz. Don't be upset. You've always got me with you, be it in spirit or in person. I'm here for you buddy." said Josh smiling.
Tobi blushed and smirked, "I guess it's destiny that's brought us two together here today. It's kind of a weird occurrence."
"Well you know what they say, everything happens for a reason." laughed Josh, actually giving deep thought to what Tobi had just said.
Josh joined Tobi on the bench and they carried on talking, looking and the scenery, enjoying the time they were having together, something they were able to do less regularly as of late. Tobi spent another hour on that bench, but this time he got to spend it with someone, and he realised the difference, while time alone is good and can be fun, nothing compares to the time spent with your friends, they are part of who you are and love your for who you are, friends are one of the main reasons you live. Josh was having similar thoughts, while he naturally loved living in the house with Vikk, JJ and Simon, he'd known Tobi the longest and was the closest with him. Both of them decided to get up and walk through the rest of the park and finally came to an obstacle course obviously designed for kids but that didn't stop the both of them having a go anyway, seeing as they both on occasion acted like giant children, yet immaturity on occasion should not be frowned on, it should be humoured.
Tobi beat Josh in a race around the course, partly due to Josh getting stuck while crawling through a tire at one point... yet Josh knew while his athletic abilities weren't exactly terrible, Tobi was known for being a very athletic and fit guy.
"Fair play Tobi! You beat me fair and square!" laughed Josh, knowing when he was well beaten.
Tobi cried with laughter: "I'll never get over you in that tire! That was a good laugh Josh, I haven't had that much fun in a while!"
"Same here Tobz. How about we go sit at the river for a bit before we go? It'll be chilled and I can't exactly overdose on chill after all the stress recently" enquired Josh, wanting to savour as much time as possible with his friend.
"Sounds good!" smiled Tobi. He followed Josh down to the river, he started to experience an unusual set of emotions and feelings, doing his best to decipher what they could be.
Both of them sat together at the river, discussing what they had in mind for their upcoming videos, but they also vowed that they would spent more time together, the day obviously substantiating the idea that they needed to socialise and get out more.
"Today's been great Josh, I haven't let this bright in a while to be honest with you." said Tobi melancholically.
Josh sighed. "I feel the same way Tobz, running into you has really lightened up my day, you're the best kind of friend anyone could ask for" said Josh, placing his arm round Tobi as a gesture of friendship and camaraderie.
Tobi smiled and then a force swelled within him, something he hadn't felt in a long time, he knew what it was and understood what he wanted. He confidently and with plenty of conviction pressed his lips against Josh's kissing him with a deep, sultry passion.
Josh reacted and lurched backward, surprised.
"Josh, I'm so sorry! Forgive me." sighed Tobi, he was worried Josh was angry. But Josh's response shocked him.
Josh responded by placing his hand into Tobi's.
"Sorry for what?" asked Josh smiling.
Josh took matters into his own hands and brought Tobi's face close to his.
"I love you. I hope you know that."
"I love you too, with all my heart."
Everything happens for a reason.
