By the time the detectives finished their meal that night, it was past midnight. They said that they were going to come back in the morning.
As the days went by, there was no evidence showing who or what weapon had killed Patrick. Two weeks went by and the case was considered cold by the police; everyone went on with their lives. However Detective Jack had an odd peculiar feeling about the case since the beginning. Eventually the detectives had to release the body for the funeral.
At the service, all of the police force attended along with family and friends. Many relatives tried to calm down Mary for she was crying hysterically throughout the entire ceremony. As the people started to leave Mary stayed. When she believed that everyone was gone from the graveyard she started to scream at the tombstone. She cried and cursed the name of the "other woman" who had stolen her husband. It was Angie Smith.
