I softly knock on the door of the mansion in front of me. Emily told me it was right here. The last few years were awful, not knowing how they were doing. My heart starts to race as I hear the footsteps come closer to the door. Please let it be Damon I say crossing my fingers.
The door opens and I see Stefan looking surprised. Damn it. "Where is Damon?" I ask, ready to walk in before Stefan stops me .
"Well hello to you too" the sarcasm in his voice makes me laugh. He has always been a goof and I don't know, he is just amazing.
"I'm sorry, hello Stefan, great to see you" I jump into his arms and hug him. "I missed you so much Stef" I make my hug a little tighter. He kisses me on my cheek and puts me down.
"Come in" he says. I walk into the house and look around. It looks exactly like what Emily told me, and what I knew from when I was younger. I walk to the fire place where the flames burnt bright. I place my hands in front of them.
"How have you guys been?" I ask Stefan. He walks up to me and stops right behind me. The feeling of his body against mine feels safe. I finally realize how much I missed them.
"We have been fine, sometimes it was hard but we did it" he smiles and he kisses me once again, on my cheek. He takes a deep breath "Lily" he starts off "I have to tell you something" he turns me around so I am facing him. "I have never told you, because I knew you liked Damon" he looks down facing the red carpet "since the first day I laid eyes on you, a century ago, I have loved you Lily"
"Wow" I say trying to process what Stefan just told me. "Stefan I-I really don't know what to say" I start "I mean you're amazing and stuff but I love Damon and he loves me" I can see the pain in his eyes. "I love you Stefan, but not in that way" I walk to the couch and sit down, I pat on the couch making him sit down next to me.
"How can you look like a 15 year old, be 198, but act like some kind of original" it takes me a moment to think but then I realize it. I have been lying to them all the time. Wait no I didn't, even I didn't know until 5 years ago.
"Yeah about that" I grab his hand and put it in my lap "I am" I face Stefan "I am an original" he looks surprised. "I'm sorry, I didn't know until 5 years ago. It surprised me too"
"Well yes it surprised me" he laughed. He hugged me "but it's amazing, what does it mean, like what can you do what other's can't?" I patted him on his shoulder.
"It's a very long list, and a long story about everything" I say. I hear footsteps and I stand up. I turn around and see the love of my life. I run up to him and jump in his arms.
"Damon" I start bawling "I missed you so much" he puts me down. He takes my face between his hands and crashes his lips into mine. It feels so good. This is what I missed for so long.
"I missed you too babe" he puts his hands on my waist. He leans in again but this time kisses me on my forehead. I always loved the sweet kisses. They made me feel special. He made me feel special.
"Euhmm guys, I'm still here" I hear Stefan in the background. Me and Damon laugh. "I'll just go" he grins.
"Wait Stef" I say "I'll tell you later" I see Stefan smile as he is thinking if he has to say something else. I turn my head while grabbing Damon's hand.
"Well see you guys tomorrow" I give him a laugh and then turn back to Damon. I shake my head laughing.
"Have fun Stefan" I say and look back at him "with whatever you're going to do" I wink at him and then he takes off.
