I woke up from a hand shaking my shoulder. I flinched a bit, but then realized it was just my mom telling me: "WE ARE HOME!". I sighed and murmured to myself, "This is not home." I unbuckled my seatbelt and dragged myself out of the car door.

"Start unpacking! There are 3 bedrooms, you choose first." my mom offered. I was surprised, but I'm going to let my mom have the biggest room. I grabbed a few bags and walked in. The place was decent. "How did mom afford this place?" I whispered to myself. I just shrugged it off and trotted up the stairs to find a long hallway with 2 rooms on one side and one on the other. I chose the one at the end of the hall. I slowly turned the knob and dropped my bags and walked around. The room was actually really nice, but it wasn't the same.

"AVA! Come down here!" I heard my mom yelling from downstairs. I galloped down and she handed me another box. "Here, go put this in your room, honey." I blanked, and it finally kicked in. I have a new room now. Once I put the box down I told my mom I was going for a walk, check out the neighborhood. But I really just wanted to be alone and clear my head. She gave me a reassuring head nod and I left.

After about 10 minutes of walking, I came across a park. I decided to just sit down for a bit and think. So, I grabbed a swing and lightly swung. I couldn't concentrate and get my mind in place because of a group of annoying boys that were at a bench across the park. It seemed to me that they were filming something. I just tried to ignore them and relax. I had all of these thoughts in my head. I just wished my dad was still here. He was my best friend and if he was still here me and my mom would not be struggling, we need him. I found myself hysterical crying not even seconds later. l tried to get myself together before I caught anyone's attention. It was too late. </pre>
