He looked so nervous and I didn't even know who he was until he basically spat out his name. "My name is Luke." He had the cutest smile. Right after he said this I heard one of his friends screaming over to tell luke to stop flirting with me. He was flirting with me? I couldn't help but let out a small giggle. I mean, he was cute when he blushed. He asked me my name and he found out I was new to Melbourne.

Luke looked about my age, so I guess I will see him tomorrow, like he hoped. UGH, the start of school is tomorrow. I am completely dreading it and I'm so nervous. But maybe, I'll see luke, and he'll help me. What am I saying? I can't have a boy like that in the snap of a finger. Well, he did approach me didn't he? Oh, whatever, we will see what happens tomorrow.

He gave me these little innocent compliments and to be honest he was making me feel better. When he said he had to get going he smiled at me and I returned a smile back at him. I got up off the swing I was sitting on and started to walk back. I giggled when I heard luke's friends yelling a bunch of things like "GET IT LUKE!" and hollering random noises. I put in my headphones and continued to take the 10 minute trail back home.

I was listening to Ed Sheeran, because his music always soothes me and his voice is just perfect.

'My heart's against your chest, your lips pressed to my neck. I'm falling for your eyes, but they don't know me yet. And with this feeling I'll forget, I'm in love now.'

The song ended right when I got home. I pulled out my headphones and went inside to find the house smelling like heaven. "Mom, what are you cooking?! It smells delicious!" I saw my mom rush in to greet me. "Oh honey, I ordered take-out for us. I hope you're in the mood for chinese!"

"Mom, seriously? When am I not?" I said with a chuckle. She smiled and I followed her into the kitchen. We sat down and I started to unload the bag. I got excited cause my mom got my favorite, boneless spare ribs. I mean, who doesn't get excited about food. "So how was your little walk, sweetie?" My mom questioned before taking a bite from her egg roll. "It was good, just to get my mind off of things." I replied.

"What are you smiling about?" my mom asked confused. I quickly realized that i was smiling about Luke. I don't even no him, why is he making me so giddy? I decided just to be open with my mom, start with a clean slate with the new house, new life in Melbourne. "I met this boy at the park, Luke. We talked for a bit and he's really sweet. But I don't even know him." The world's biggest smile spread across my mom's face. "Aw! How nice, honey!!" We had a nice conversation over dinner and then I helped clean up. "Okay, Mom. I'm going to go in the shower then go to bed. Love you." I said while hugging her goodnight. She gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and I went upstairs. "Go get some good sleep for schoool tomorrow!"

God, please let tomorrow be nice to me.
