Castiel couldn't sleep.
He just couldn't. Nothing he tried would work.
He tried counting sheep.
No luck.
He tried reading a book.
No luck.
He even tried doing jumping jacks but still no luck.
He at last decided that Dean would know what to do.
He got out of his bed and walked across the hall to Deans room.
"Dean," Cas said, nudging the sleeping hunters shoulder.
No reply.
"Deeeean," Cas said again, nudging his sleeping form a bit harder.
"What do you want?" Dean mumbled in to his pillow.
"I can't sleep." Cas replied, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt.
"What do you want me to do about that?" Dean said, slightly annoyed at Cas for waking him from his peaceful slumber.
"I thought that maybe you could.. Help?" Castiel said, but it came out more like a question.
Dean sighed and got out of his bed, walking over to his dresser. Cas followed.
"Here," said Dean, chucking Castiel a pair of pajama bottoms and a old ACDC shirt.
"What's this for?" Cas confusedly asked, looking down at the bundle of clothes. "I already have clothes on."
"They're pajamas. Just put them on, I'm sure they will be a lot more comfier to sleep in than that old trench coat of yours." Dean replied.
Castiel complied and returned a couple minutes later with Deans pajamas on.
"I'm still not tired." Said Cas, crossing his arms across his chest.
"Come on, then." Dean sighed, walking out of his room.
They ended up in the kitchen. Dean pulled out a chair. "Sit." he said to Cas, pointing at the chair.
Cas did as he was told.
"What are you doing?" he asked Dean, who was currently standing outside the open fridge door, reaching in.
"I'm going to make you a glass of warm milk. It always works for me." he replied, taking out the milk and pouring it in a glass.
He put the glass in the microwave and a couple minutes later he took it out and handed it to Cas.
"Thank you." Cas said, taking the glass and chugging it down in one gulp.
He wiped his mouth on his sleeve. "I'm still not tired." he said with a frown.
"You will be. C'mon" Dean replied, taking Cas's hand.
Cas was confused. "Now where are we going?"
"Just come with me."
They walked outside, their hands still connected. "What are we outside for?" Cas asked quizzically.
"To look at the stars.. I heard that it helps people fall asleep." Dean replied with a yawn.
"Oh"
They layed down in the grass, pointing out constellations to eachother.
Half an hour later they were both asleep, and somehow Castiel ended up in Deans arms.
Castiel hasn't had trouble sleeping since.
