It's sunny outside. We were in the middle of July and it was probably one of the best days of the summer yet. What a luck it was on THE day we needed sun.

I got up early to prepare myself for the show. I put on some short jeans and a black tank top. It was hot outside so I didn't want to have a full shirt on and sweat like hell. I put my long blond air into a ponytail and then I put some makeup on my face. Only a little; foundation, mascara and little line of eyeliner; it does make my eyes even more blue. I took my wallet and cellphone and put them in my pockets. I took my converse and put them on on my way to the front door of my apartment.

I was on my way to join my friend Marissa. We met at the subway station and took it to go to Montreal for the concert. We planned on probably going out after going backstage to see the boys and we totally hated Montreal's traffic so we prefered to travel by subway.

«Hey sweety! » Mari told me when she saw me coming her way.  She looked stunning. She got some shorts on like me and a Green Day t-shirt. Some vans in her feet and she straightened her short brown hair. She put a bit of purple on her greenish eyes and it made them pop out even more.

«Hey honey! » I replied. I hugged her and then we walked to take the subway.

«I'm so ready for that. I can't believe it's finally the day. » I told her as I walked in the subway train.

«Me too Drew, it's going to be epic! » She said excitingly.

We were walking on the sidewalk on our way to the arena for soundchecks. Well,  soundchecks were only in a couple of hours but we wanted to be there early and have some good times before.

We were on our way when I suddenly stopped.

«Mari! Do you have the passes? » I asked her. I was always nervous about those kinds of things on a gig day; forgetting my tickets or my special event passes. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to attend the event I was waiting for.

«Don't worry Drew, I have them. I always do. » She said to me, rolling her eyes.  She was used to me freaking out. Most of the time, she was the one to come with me to concert. And I always did the same.

«You're the best you know. » I told her.

«I know, I know. » She laughed.

We kept walking to the arena. There were already a dozen or maybe twenty persons there when we arrived. I reached the ticketing to grab our tickets. I was super excited to finally know where we'd be seating. I went back to Marissa after to wait in line.

«So? » Mel asked me as soon as I arrived next to her.

«We have GA tickets! » I said with a big smile. «On Mikey's side baby! »

She looked at me and started to jump. She was clearly happy about that, and I understood why. She always had a thing for Michael, even though she was 6 years older than him. He was just really her type of guy.

«I can't believe it... And we will be near the stage. » She couldn't stop talking, she was too excited.

And I laughed at her.

Hours went by. We waited until it was time for soundcheck. People were coming their way slowly. It was a good idea to be there early, but the waiting was so long. My legs were getting weak, I was hungry (yes, we forgot to bring lunch.)

«I'm hungry! » I said. «Want some McDonalds? » I asked Mari.

«Only if you go and grab it for me. » She replied.
