It was all new to me. I didn't know a single child there. Everyone was playing, shouting and jumping as thew knew each other for many years. I packed up all my courage and shouted "hey you, yeah you what is this? I asked a girl who wore pink pajamas with flowers on it.
"A train!!! This is the Polar Express!" replied the girl
"What type of train is this?"
"Do you know it?" She asked another girl
"Well, yeah it's a magical train," Said the girl excitedly," it's the best train ever".
I looked confusedly at them . I think they knew what made me so confused.
They started by introducing themselves. The girl with the pink pajamas with flowers name was Deborah. And the girl who thought the Polar Express was magical, her name was Becky.
The train had just started and had still to take upon speed.
I took my seat with Becky and Deborah and sat near the window. As I looked out of the window I saw a small figure running on the deserted platform. SHe also wanted to come on the train. I couldn't see her running like that . I was forced to pull the emergency brake. The conductor came to me and asked me angrily why did I pull the emergency brake.
I told him the reason. He carried the little girl and brought her to us. She sat with us .
I asked them ,"how do you'll know each other so well"
They replied" Actually we meet every year on this train , so we know each other. Although it's just once a year."

They asked me my name and why did I come on the train.

"Jo Keller"

Suddenly the girl asked me " Are you a believer of Santa"?

I felt angry but couldn't deny the girls sweetness. I told her kindly" no, I am not a believer of Santa. I just want to get away from my family. Well, leave all that, what is your name sweety?"

She replied " my name is Miliana, Miliana Roosevelt.

"That's such a sweet name"

The girls asked me why I wanted to get away from my parents.
I told them the whole story about my sister, the ignorance and everything.
They were crying literally. For once I felt I had some really friends.

Some waiters came into the train compartment with hot chocolate. They sang a merry song as we drank hot chocolate. We could take as many cups as we wanted.
