-DREW-
Drew was getting fed up with Leo. Now, instead of trying to out do him, he kept taking credit for Drew's success.
"Drew! Would you slow down?" Anthony called out as he tried to keep up with Drew, who kept running faster and faster. It was as if he were trying to move faster than Hermes, the messenger God, himself.
Drew slowed to a halt. "What?!"
"Where are you going? Just tell Chiron what's going on." Anthony spoke.
"No way. You saw Chiron's expression when Leo took credit for capturing the flag!He made it seem like I was jealous and tried to stop him so I could get the glory!" Drew practically screeched.
"I know you got the flag. You know it, too. Why do you need credit? It's a war game. Practice. A fun way to set our skills from training to the test. What do you need to prove?" Anthony asked. He remained calm, easily seeing how worked up his best friend was.
"I need to pr... never mind. Bottom line is that I'm going to go and battle a monster in the forest. Prove that I'm not a failure."
"Drew! That's crazy! Not to mention stupid! You're just going to make everyone think that Leo is right. Come on. Let's get out of the forest and go join everyone else for dinner."
Before Drew could reply, a large shadow towered over them. Anthony and Drew turned around to see a huge dog growling at them One glance at each other, and they sprang on the offensive.
"Split up. I'll distract the dog while you go in for the kill. Sound good?" Anthony rattled, showing off his Athena genes.
"Sure. Just one problem." Drew spoke, barely audible.
"What?" Anthony questioned.
"What about the girl sitting on top of the thing, staring daggers at us?"
"That.... I'm out of ideas." Anthony.
The dog growled. Before anyone new it,
They were battling to the death.
