I want to thank my friend, for reading my story and supporting it through. Here's Chapter 4!

I tore my gaze off of him as I got to Bailey's side, who was clutching onto her chest. She was on the floor, catching her breath, gasping for air and releasing it. Her neck was red and there was a handprint of Angus' in white colour. It slowly faded becuase blood returned.

"Bailey! Are you all right?"

With her eyes closed, she nodded. It was a weak nod. Bailey was always strong and never feared, even in the hardest situation. But right now, she was different. For once, I sensed her vulnerability. Something must have happened between Angus and her.

Angus was now beaten up into a pulp, begging for mercy. There were fresh cuts on his face and his right eye was swollen. I really wanted to laugh, how he was so devious one second and the next, he was on his knees, pleading so hard to be let go of. But under these circumstances, I didn't feel like it.

"Hey, hey. Stop hitting him already," I touched the gorgeous boy's arm with both my hands, not wanting this to go on any further. It was cruel, but Angus surely deserved it.

He looked at me, then at him. It took him a few moments to release the tight grip he had on Angus' collar.

Angus stood up, staggering. He placed a hand on his knee to balance himself. Using the back of his hand, he wiped away the blood that was stained on his split lower lip. The black hair of his was unkempt.

"You better watch out. Making my appearance here today, is just a warning." Angus' eyes were narrowed and he spoke with such great acrimony.

Walking over to me, he put on his infamous smirk. He obviously loved to do that. Without any warning, Angus slid a small knife out of his back pocket and made a small cut on my left arm.

I hissed and cupped the wound with my hand. I could feel blood gushing out of the cut steadily. Tears were pricking at the corners of my eyes.

"Remember, Princess. This is just a warning." He growled out, every word spoken with extreme despise.

"Get out of the diner before I kill you," the boy spoke calmly but he was losing control. I couldn't help but feel intimidated by the way he said it.

Angus scurried out of the restaurant but not before saying, "Oh and Your Highness? Your bravery shall be applauded for what you've done just now."

Thoughts were now jamming on my mind. What? Angus saw what happened at the alley?

"You're hurt, Eleanor," the beautiful boy distracted me from the ongoing thoughts. He plied my hand off and inspected the cut. His brown hair covered his eyes as he did so. Then, I felt a sharp pain. I swiped his hand away from the wound as a few droplets of tears slid down my eyes.

"Shit, I'm so sorry." He apologised and he looked at me. His sincere eyes seemed to pierce through my soul.

"It's okay." I whispered.

"Bailey, do you have a first aid kit?"

Bailey gave a small nod and rushed to get it.

Our gazes met each other's again. It made my heart flutter whenever we did that. Bailey cleared her throat.

I jerked slightly. I didn't realise I was so mesmerised in his eyes. A tint of red found its way onto my cheeks. I looked down.

Warmth spread throughout my skin. He was touching the arm that was injured. I caught sight of water which filled a big bowl. I knew he was going to wash the cut. It always hurt when you wash fresh wounds.

I hated pain.

"I-- I'm scared," I blurted. He smiled at me softly.

"Don't worry. Look into my eyes, Elle. I promise I'll be careful. Deep breaths okay?"

I placed my arm on his opened palm in consent and began to concentrate on my breathing. In, and out.

"It's not fair that I know your name but you don't know mine," he said. He concentrated on dabbing the cut with a cloth. I was sitting on the floor. I looked around but Bailey and Leila wasn't there. Focusing on him, he continued, "I'm Caden."

My face lit up with a huge grin. He told me his name. Willingly. I laughed.

"Well Caden, I guess we've met officially, then," I joked. The side of his mouth lifted up, as if he was amused with my response. Caden placed a plaster over my wound and looked up at me, his smile still plastered on his face.

"If that's the case, I'm honoured to have met you, Your Highness," He chuckled. However, it arose the curiosity in me.

"Caden? What's going on?" I inquired.

His smile instantly fell and his eyes were filled with so many emotions I couldn't fathom.
